We already do that Shaks 10 players defending, 10 players attacking cos we’re fit Not good for me old ticker though
Exactly we’d have an advantage when the other teams can’t freshen up their players, the lazy unfit bastards
Why would anyone, even Barnsley, want someone who is so disruptive though? Balotelli could have been one of the best in the world but just ruined it for himself. Not on the same level but reminds me of Saiz attitude.
The FA are capable in fkg any situation up, just look at the mess our football is in:- VAR - is a complete mess International breaks - far too many Domestic Cups - no meaning to them at all, why not FA cup winners qualify for CL, scrap the old league cup. Referee’s - poor standard of refereeing and not answerable of poor decisions. I think they should be interviewed like the managers are afterwards, well they are classed as full time pro’s now. winter break - Majority of Europe have one, we don’t? good or bad thing. comments gentlemen!!!
10 years ago I'd have kept every cup competition, it was a way for the lower League clubs like Millwall and Ull to make a bit of cash. But I'd deffo scrap the LC even if was the Whites first Trophy. Even the Internationals are becoming boring and whats the point of these new nation leagues. I don't like a winter break because that's what makes the British game the best IMO. Playing on wet or snowy pitches, going to games over chrimbo.
Good points. I think you should start a new thread specifically for this post. It'll get lost in this one. I'd also drop the 'gentlemen', as we don't have any, well, apart from Jammy!
Enjoyed reading this post. I hate VAR always have and think it is ruining football as a watchable spectacle, slowing the game far too much and putting the referees far too much at centre stage. Who the **** pays to watch a bloke stick a finger to his ears and someone drawing dubious lines on a screen and still get it wrong. Ref on the field not making decisions hoping he’ll get bailed out. Premier league became a multi billion pound industry because of the tempo of the football and VAR will kill it. Football doesn’t need the gimmicks like other sports like cricket etc. Never liked international football except the tournaments in the summer as there’s no other football to watch. Disagree about FA cup winners getting a champions league place, you only need to win a few games and might not even play a premier league team until the final, that said most years the winner has come from the top four anyway. Too many fans like the Boxing Day matches for them to be scrapped but we always have a big family get together both days, 25+ of us usually, getting extremely pissed so normally I never get to watch the football, think there are too many games squeezed in at Christmas though. Ready to be shot down for that opinion
Agreed. Ludicrous that you would only need to win 5 or 6 games to win a cup, possibly all at home, isn't it? A bit like england in 1966. Boom, boom!
