This is a list of our top 100 greatest players (apparantly) of all time. What would be your top 10 / top 25 / top 50. Is there anyone that has been missed out, or more importantly, there are a few names in there that don't deserve to be there. Allan Clarke Jack Charlton Norman Hunter Paul Reaney Peter Lorimer Mick Jones Vinnie Jones David Wetherall Tom Jennings Charlie Keetley Terry Cooper Gordon Strachan Nigel Martyn Lucas Radebe Albert Johanneson Tony Currie Grenville Hair Joe Jordan Mick Bates Billy Bremner John Charles Eddie Gray Bobby Collins Gary McAllister Gary Speed Gary Kelly Jimmy Floyd Hasselbaink Mark Viduka Lee Chapman Gary Sprake Duncan McKenzie Trevor Cherry Alan Smith David Harvey Tony Dorigo David Batty Johnny Giles Paul Madeley Eric Cantona Mel Sterland Tony Yeboah Jonathan Woodgate Lee Bowyer Mervyn Day Harry Kewell Rio Ferdinand Gordon McQueen Dominic Matteo Michael Bridges Ian Harte Don Revie Brian Greenhoff Chris Fairclough John Lukic Frank Gray Imre Varadi Rod Wallace Paul Robinson Arthur Graham Andy Ritchie Robbie Keane Brian Flynn John Sheridan Ian Snodin Kenny Burns Scott Sellars Brian Deane Carl Harris Noel Whelan John Hendrie Danny Mills Russell Wainscoat Carl Shutt Robbie Fowler Neil Aspin Alex Sabella David "Rocky" Rocastle Ernie Hart Tommy Wright Jimmy Dunn Ian Baird Paul Hart Jack Milburn Terry Connor John McClelland Alf-Inge Haaland Chris Kamara Kevin Hird Chris Whyte Frank Worthington' Mike O'Grady Willie Bell Brendan Ormsby Bobby Davison David Stewart Ray Hankin Peter Haddock Eric Kerfoot Willis Edwards Jermaine Beckford
Believe it was then Chairman Geoffrey Richmond, 1990 world cup, he was sent over to agree terms and bring back Fastino Asprilla, but came back with Tomas Brolin
Tino asprilla...jesus I remember him. Brolin that picture, honestly, when was that taken it makes me chuckle.
Cos Beckford is better? simples. his goal scoring for us was instrumental as was others but he deserves to be on that list and I would class him as a modern legend for us. I still think we have an unhealthy intolerance for cocky black players in some of our contingent at games but thats just my opinion.
Beckfords goal scoring was never higher than L1 for us though (bar the cup games of course) Where the hell is the legend that was Phil Masinga? No Room for John Newsome or Sheridan?
just because its a lower league doesnt mean he was crap though Bucks...that was an improtant part of history being stuck in that godfrosaken league and talisman such as Beckford and yes Howson etc helped us through it. so people like him should be on there. thats just my opinion cheeky
Pags I meant they both should be in Beckford will always be a legend and did us proud even if he was contraversial
he should be. hes a legend in my eyes. but lets see how he reacts if he scores against us...he could do a hulse and just put his head down and walk back to the centre circle but as its at leicester i dont think it will cos I can imagine our lot will not be nice to him, i dont know why I just think its gonna be heated.
