No, it was his. He went over to troll on ITTV and got slung off again, but it's a persistent story - every forum he posts on he causes trouble, and this is the only one he gets away with it. He was attacking respected posters @dick plumb before leaving last time.
You are a big fat girls blouse, a cry baby, a dirty grass, and a sore loser. I suggest you ignore my posts you lump of dung.
Nice try at stirring it, but futile. @dick plumb and I don’t agree on everything, but respect t each other I hope. And as for this forum, I think you will find I am one of the original posters on here, going back about 15 years. About the same time you last worked in the UK and paid taxes here.
Oh dear, this is bizarre. I've met Messrs Shabby and Rug, they are both pretty amiable intelligent blokes offline, and would definitely get on well if they met.
Shame that it has degenerated into a fight. I have a lot of respect for @Appalling Rug and @Ken Shabby Always room for debate and differing views. I have said a few things in the past I have later regretted. This is a good forum without an oppressive moderator.
I draw the line at people lying & smearing on another forum when I have no right of reply, which is what Ken Scabby once did. There have been numerous arguments between numerous posters on here about Brexit, which is why it’s a subject best ignored. I can’t see what his problem is anyway, he lives in Spain and is staying in the EU. Let’s hope they build a wall to keep him there.
@Appalling Rug you rightly say Brexit is a subject best ignored. But in the very next line you use it to attack another member. Any further references to that subject will be deleted, unless they are made in the Brexit thread and are not part of a slanging match. I'll also remove any posts by anybody that I believe go beyond the boundaries of reasonable disagreement into unwarranted abuse. Those boundaries have already been pushed this evening. It's obvious other members are not comfortable with it and neither am I.
There's a surprise. It seems that tiers 1 & 2 of the pre-lockdown three tier system in England won't be used again after 2nd December. The Government has said measures in tiers 1 & 2 were "not effective". So in effect, the end of lockdown will see the entire country placed in tier 3 (no different from current lockdown rules) with even more extreme rules waiting in new tiers (tiers 4 and 5, or whatever they decide to call them). Lockdown by another name - continued indefinitely. This is why the furlough scheme has been extended to March 2021. I don't necessarily disapprove of strict anti-COVID19 rules continuing beyond 2nd December. But it seems the Government is trying to kid people into thinking rules might be eased, in order to muddy the waters and dilute opposition. A few weeks of clarity since the end of October is giving way once more to confusion - seemingly by design.
A few weeks ago there were some misguided comments about Taiwan which I felt obliged to correct. This week in Private Eye there is a detailed analysis of what Taiwan has done to set up an efficient track and trace system, a minimum-disruption quarantine scheme and to develop public trust in what they are doing. I think it's essential reading. If there is any interest I will scan and post a copy.
The first wave of the Pandemic here in the UK was a time when things had to happen very quickly. Vital equipment required to save lives had to be found immediately. There was no time for mucking about. No long grass to kick decisions into. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/business-54978460 Nevertheless, it is right that decisions taken and policies approved during those days are fully examined. Anybody who took advantage of the situation to make unwarranted profits from public funds, should be accountable. Anybody who acted out of political motives rather than purely the desire to get the quickest effective results should be accountable. This cannot happen overnight. But it will happen eventually.
