FIFA 12 thoughts?

    Hi all - does anyone play FIFA 12?

    I am loving FIFA 12 - the new defending takes some getting used to and it's incredibly frustrating conceding goals because you defend like Arsenal all the time but it's much better than 11 imho.

    I have played exclusively with LFC and am a bit dissapointed with the stats and performance of Gerrard, Suarez and Carroll - I feel they need tweaking up a bit (esp Suarez)

    I play on PS3 - Grandad355 is my tag - friend me up if you fancy a kick about?


    PS no PES v FIFA posts please - frankly it's boring.

    Starting to get into it now,
    Like you I find the stats a bit weird

    Its better than 2011, by a long margin

    I play it on PS3 and I prefer this defending as it allows more time and space whilst in possesion.

    Skylarker hates the new system so expect a moan from him sometime today..

    Liverpool's ratings are quite bad, make sure you download the squads from online as there are a few changes made from the original squads. I've tweaked the overalls to my liking and when I play friends I use the same squads so its all good..

    Add me up for a kick-about (I won't pick Liverpool everytime as I prefer to use different teams..)

    The last one I played was Fifa '08 on the PC (I brought it from a charity shop for £1). I don't do up to date video games (although I have played the latest PES but thats for another thread)

    I used to play FIFA 11 on legendary and enjoyed it immensely. With FIFA 12 I'm strugling with the Proffessional difficulty setting. It's definately more realistic but at the same time much more frustrating and more realism doesn't always make for a better game.

    Worst Fifa game since they over-took PES.

    They've tried to make it too realistic and failed. Why fix a system that wasn't broke?

    About 8 of my mates got it on release day and all of them think it's ****, me included. I wanna play a computer game not some simulated football game, If I wanted that I would go for a kick about down the park.

    With FIFA i always start with a lower league team makes it more interesting.

    Don't get GOW 3 - load of ****, read the reviews, had very bad reviews.

    COD's gonna be top notch <ok>

    Battlefield 3 - Beta is pretty good, bit frustrating though.

    Could do with some shooter recommendations, playing Fallout New Vegas at the moment and it's not very good.

    i forced myself to start on world class so i could get better at defending quicker, another good thing about the change in defending is that online games are packed with goals, so far ive had a 3-3 draw a 6-2 win and a 4-4 draw

    For good shooters then you can't really get better than any of the COD's.... BFBC 2 is also very good.

    I guess it depends whether you play online or single player really. There are plenty of good single player shooters if that's your thing, but for online it has to be the ones I've mentioned.

    Red dead redemption is a good shout <ok>
