So why were we under numerous restrictions when they weren't needed and yes we were down to less than 6 per 100,000 for some while. At some point it will finally reach the south coast of England as well. It's not always peoples fault,some people on here are worse than the government for pinning the blame on others but it's just how a virus spreads, every area's going to end up having high levels at some time.
Excellent point, less than 1 in 100 chance of having covid including thoose not having any symptoms or take the vaccine and have up to 10% of having serious symptoms, bet they won;t be telling people that at any of the press conferences hosted by Boris Johnson.
Four of us caught it within 48 hours of each other on our shift and one is still poorly with it . Never a fan of the blame game but if somebody’s asymptomatic it’s almost impossible to stop it spreading.

Well I can say now that the 14 day rule for people in contact is right , the Mrs has tested positive even though we have been isolating since the 5th November and was fine until a couple of days ago , and now I'm starting to lose my sense of smell and taste, this is 11-12 days since we have had contact with anyone whatsoever , so if anyone's work tries the "get a test and if its negative come back to work" tell them to get lost and warn them they are breaking the law by insisting on that and risking a 10k fine ... even if you test negative during self isolation you have to do your full 14 days or however many it is , I didnt actually realise this until I started reading a lot more into it upon having to isolate myself
Think of it the other way - people who had the placebo were 10 times more likely to get COVID than those who had the vaccine. No-one who had the vaccine and subsequently tested positive had a serious case of COVID. Huge success considering a year ago this was an unknown virus. no vaccine on earth guarantees you will never get the disease, but the idea is to drive down the numbers to the point that the disease is unable to spread as most people have enough immunity to prevent community transmission. This is true herd immunity, not the bollocks from the Great Barrington declaration.
