I loved the football under Gus. The only slight issue I have is he hasn't been a manager for a while now, and I'm wondering why! No offers? Think someone mentioned he's only managed 90 games in 5 years!!

Poyet working with Dobson and Power would be hilarious

I'd be chuffed with Poyet back. I think he would give the place a lift and his style of play was easy to watch. Bearing in mind his playing career it would be nice to think he would have a great influence on the likes of Embleton, Neil and Diamond too.

Not for me he was here 16 months, no real improvement his two signings from Brighton who he insisted on signing were not good
Imo he had given up and accepted relegation, the older profesionals Oshea, brown
Cattermole ,Larson got the team playing with a bit of fight and Connor wickam stopped posing for a few weeks knocked a few goals in and we had a miracle.

By that point he was absolutely pissed off because he didn't get any of the players he wanted, he made some right **** ups like Rodwell being the main one but everyone will have drop a clanger from time to time.

Bridcutt first signing nailed on. Loved Poyet when he first came , it really was a miracle escape and we actually played football and had a style. Was awful in the end though and thought he made some comments below the belt about fans. Guess it depends how ambitious we are going to be. If it’s between poyet and another manager from league 1 i’d rather have poyet. Surely he would get us out of this league? I still think mick McCarthy would have been a safer bet for getting promoted mind but obviously he’s taken now.

Let's just see what happens and not worry about the details, especially after Friday's great news.

    That was me mate.

I'm sure all kinds of people are being considered.

One of them is currently employed, so I'm told.

Loved some of our football under poyet but think his appointment would be a huge risk and not really based on any recent form. Would love us to unearth a Graham Potter or eddie Howe character to take us up through the leagues and develop a style of play

Not sure what your point is. Mine was simply a player being played out of position will have an affect on a team's performance. I never said anything about technical ability. I'll admit having players who seemingly struggle with the basics of technical ability isn't going to help but someone who is complete **** on the ball will be complete **** no matter where you play them. However in Gooch I'd say we have a good winger who is an average wing back. That's the kind of detrimental effect I'm on about, nowt to do with technical ability.

I liked Poyet a lot. If he had money to spend I think he’d be a massive success but does he guarantee you promotion from league one? Can he get this average league one squad to play the way he wants?

He's the only name I've been given and I'd be happy but I don't want to mislead anyone.

There's no agreement or anything but I suspect there's been contact with various agents etc.

IMO we need someone unpleasant who the players will fear and the supporters may not even like.

This is no time for romance, we need the manager to rule the roost.

Why not just go for Eddie Howe.

    Give him what he wants.

Massive challenge for him. But the rewards would far exceed that

"It is absolutely on [the takeover]...and at the very end process. Beyond that you will have to wait for official news"
