Interestingly he seems to have been liking things back in October. He may just have stayed a lads fan as he’d have been his teens when his dad managed here
Poyet would be far from my first choice but I like the guy, he talks a lot of sense and I wouldn't have a problem if it was him, other than it's usually not a good idea to go back to someone who ultimately failed. Big character isn't he and we need that.
I would have mixed feelings about him - for the positives performance the abject failure in the quarter final at Hull and the meek surrender at Bradford long live in the memory. By all accounts his behaviour around the club after the 5-1 stuffing at Spurs was what you would expect from a leader. We would have a style of play but he would need the players to able to play this.
Be over the moon with Gustavo! Always thought he had the right ideas but didn't have the quality of player to implement his style. People saying remember how it ended.... That was in the PL not this **** tin pot league we're in now
Yep. I was thinking that contract they announced with the wifi in the stadium. Could be a whole IT support contract which could include server hosting and domain names etc.
Just looked off the back of you mentioning it. The one from September is very random to pick out 3 months later.
Out of the managers we’ve had since Keane, I’d say Poyet is my 2nd fave overall only beaten by Allardyce. Miracles do happen, Gus. They are increyable!
Not sure really, ultimately he was huffy and totally collapsed tactic wise after the Southampton thinking. At the end he couldn’t wait to get out, yeah we had some good times but ultimately he ended the same as every other safc manager. If he does come, I hope he doesn’t bring Taricco who just sat on the bench arms folded looking bored whenever things weren’t going our way.
Marra, we all know you are underwhelmed, but can you ease off and wait and see what happens. Some of us are still celebrating Friday's news
We played outstanding football probably the best I've seen with the only exception being the 105 point season but that was an absolutely ridiculous year when you look back and see we had a top half premier League team in the championship, also have me my greatest night away at old Trafford. I think it would be a statement of intent to get someone like poyet in league one.
is that the same Taricco who danced along the touchline at the landfill, when we scored...right in front of Pardew...was hilarious.
Poyet could instill that "ethos" right through the club - get the whole set up playing in the same way. Would Poyet blood the youngsters in as well?
