S.A.F.C. - the future

I always want managers to succeed at SAFC. I’m sure you do as well. I wasn’t convinced with Grayson or Parkinson from day one of their tenures though. Their appointments showed just how far we have dropped as a club.

 

I won't believe it until I see the young'un sitting in Sinatra's with a pint of Fosters. This is entirely dependent on Boris ending the lock down of course.

 

Be a change from old salmon pants turning up in the Colliery Tavern I suppose.

The managerial situation to me will be the main indicator if the new owners really mean business. If parkinson stays or is replaced by another average league 1 manager I will be sceptical. I’m hoping they are really ambitious. Part of me expects a foreign manager none of us have heard of.

 

I would also bet on that's why Methven left as well ... not just for health reasons or for comments made but on a split due to how football matters were being run.

 

I'd rather have Lenny Henry than Parkinson.

If they really mean business, like you I reckon when they come to change the manager - and let’s be brutally honest, it will happen - it will be an appointment straight out of left field.

Totally agree but it has became blatently obvious over the last 2 years what donalds motivation was. Added to this the removal of 20 odd million from the club (i choose my words carefully here) local journalists should be fookin ashamed of themselves. Too busy falling over themselves to portray how hard done by the mags are.

He hasn't covered himself in glory up to now with his stupid decisions so I think that will be take into account when reviewed.

Would he really need to be greeted? Could get it down to 2.

 

Hopefully the start of a massive restructure. The owners should know what direction they want the club to move in, what kind of philosophy they want to have and the sporting director to implement that in the roles they fill. Starting with head of the academy. Short term I don’t think it takes much to get out of this division with the right backing and manager.
