Bus drivers here are a mixed bag, some of them - even the few wearing masks themselves - don't say a word, and others do. I just tell them I've got asthma and that's that. One **** of a driver pulled up at the bus stop one day, didn't open the doors and just stared at me through the window whilst waving his hand over his face. I know a few people that've had covid now and a number suffered with nasty symptoms for days, and I was indeed concerned (and still am) for them, but that doesn't mean I'm going to disregard the politicisation of mask wearing that the WHO has long said is as good as useless in inhibiting viral spread.

Also, I was a bit surprised the other day when I saw a police officer ask a lad to put a mask on in the bus station, and more than a tad disappointed when his response was, "Sure thing, officer" rather than, "What the **** has it got to do with you, jobsworth?". What makes no sense is that a few days prior I had seen two officers and a PCSO stood chatting outside a supermarket whilst people came and went sans mask. Maybe they have to have had a bad day before they start to care?
