Yep, how cant others see this. I don't blame them and they deserve a share if it works out. You dont have to like who you do business with and as customers of safc that's the way it is

If he gets a taste of the roker wave as I call it when everyone is buzzing, like when we play well or on cup run he will be blown away

Most people wouldn't have the foggiest who owns shares in the majority of companies yet because it's a football club some people think that they have the right to know every detail.

I used to think that myself mate, but I've had personal first hand experience with some of our "fans" that changed my mind. Don't get me wrong, they are a pretty small minority, but they are very vocal and they do coordinate, turning things like Facebook groups or message boards into echo chambers by hijacking them. I could give you some examples back when Di Canio was in charge and after he'd been sacked about some arguments I'd had with some fans who backed him and turned on players for being "wimps" and "prima donna's" and being the "rotten core", despite stuff already circulating about how ge was behaving towards people in the club and his bullying paranoid behaviour.

Its the ones who think a billionaire is going to come in and be ordered about by Donald and Methven that make me laugh. I mean, if nowt else his money is in a trust fund, so it's not like the people controlling that will just let him be manipulated . And, despite his age, I seriously doubt he'll be impressed or swayed by two small time "businessmen" who he will already know have completely ****ed up here to the point of us all wanting them to piss off. He'll have been surrounded by actual successful people all his life, he'll doubtless have a canny idea of "what good looks like" and he'll know its not those two jokers. I just hope it progresses swiftly from here because I can't wait to find out who he's going to have running it assuming it all goes through.

It won't be long before conspiracy theories start with the new owner and he gets targeted too.

Some really weird responses since the news broke.
I’d have preferred it if Donald and Methven weren’t here in any capacity but to be where we are in this league and have people with the clout that these people have access to is fantastic.
Looking forward to see how it pans out, hoping that the Sporting Director appointment is the first of many strategic switches to put the foundations in place.

I just hope it’s all concluded quickly before Parkinson has us too far adrift.

Yeah, deleted most of mine mainly through boredom and people over posting. Spot on, negative views tend to make more noise than positive, possibly because of it's polar opposite view to what people reading it want to hear.

Watched a bit of that SAFC fan TV on YouTube and that Shaun Middleton guy 'hopes' Storey and his backers can get their takeover over the line next week....he dismissed the Sartori/Dreyfus consortium and reckons hes been told different....I guess he doesn't know he's in the middle of a winding up order at the minute

The worrying part of the is not what is happening....its the fact that anyone would want Storey anywhere near us....out of the frying pan & he could take the club under never mind stagnate like we are now

I dont mind them lads doing that channel, bit cringe at times (especially a 50 odd yr old calling himself the mad mistake) but they seem harmless enough and talking about their passion (bit like here only we arent daft enough to put our faces on TV for all to see), but com'on if you are doing that, at least become informed, investigate Storey, look through his history and don't come across so gullible and green

Just watched a few seconds and looks like a meeting of the Flat Earth Society......Had to switch off, as you say a bit cringe worthy to be honest

  16. Agree with this. It's highly likely that the retention of some shares by Donald and Methven, presumably in order to get them a payout as and when success is achieved, has been relected in the purchase price of the controlling stake being acquired.....in other words,a deferred payment of sorts, based on the future. If that is so,I can understand why it would take a prolonged period of negotiation to get the structure right for both parties. Now I've no idea what the termso f the deal will be which would trigger any payout and at what price, but, however it's done,it is not in Donald and Methvens interests to meddle in the subsequent running of the club and try to **** it up.
Some over on RTG just seem to be completely mentally challenged by any concept of common sense and logic which may be applied to this.

These people are intense, relentless and quite aggressive. Kittens was on here relentlessly lecturing people telling them they were gullible fools day after day for believing there could be a takeover. They're like a cult.

I've just looked at RTG and the last post couldn't be more typical. Some absolute tosser, Chop Sauce, is viciously attacking Grumpy Old Man and questioning his knowledge and integrity.

And of course he's pounding out the chosen mantra like it's been debated, agreed and rubber stamped.

"Dreyfus is a puppet, this is NOT a takeover and there'll be no significant difference."

As people have said this is a time we should all be hoping things are about to become better ...

... some are clearly hoping it becomes worse.

    Don't let these people win.

Contrary opinions are fine but the amount of decent posters is falling because they can't be bothered with the incessant negativity. Thankfully the 606 Mods can see the difference between an opinion and an agenda.

I keep trying to post less but am I f**k going to back down to these miserable bellends.

Some of our fans deserve everything they are getting served up to them like

"Anyone but Stuart Donald" was the war cry from them. Now a family worth tens of billions are on the verge of taking us over and that aint good enough and if they do "nothing will change" and not only will the people with 20% still be making all the decisions this new bloke is going to be ok with that and sit back and allow it to happen

hahaha we have some right idiots following us. They cannot get their heads round the facts two blokes were never going to sell all their percentages and save some back to sell at a later date when they can potentially make tens of millions of pounds more

Thing is, all these people have got this saying in their heads now 'share re-distribution' because they read what Nixon said, other various reports and just yesterday the Chronicle. People aren't grasping the fact that, lets just say if it was 'just Share distribution' without any new backers and Sartori took Donalds 74% and Donald took Sartoris 20%, you would see major changes even with that, we then have one of the richest men in Uruguay in controlling charge of the club rather than a 2 bob insurance salesman meaning he would then run the club how he wants. But as per reports he isnt just taking control but he is bringing a billionaire backer (could be more) to steer the ship in the right direction. I am in no doubt that there will be major change from night and day to the way the club will be run and Donald will be told to do as hes told and when to do it

People say Sartori has been there 2 years and hes done **** all, well he doesnt run the show, Donald does, its up to Donald to put the most capital behind any project they devise but hasnt, Sartori would just have to match anything pro-rata at a 20% mark of whats put on the table so really you wouldnt see anything from him unless Donald puts up, and as we know Donalds pockets are empty

I’ve just been over and had a read on rtg. Try not to go there now. It’s a world apart from here. Negativity abound. It’s quite disturbing how people can be so negative after the last few years of Donald. We should be excited at the prospect of this takeover and looking forward to hopefully happier times.
