Dunnno if you boys were ever into Electro, but I'm old enough to remember when this was just getting attention in the UK. Early days of hip hop/electro and driven by the legendary Roland 808.
Funnily enough I was thinking I don't remember that. Clearly the trauma of it at the time meant I blocked it from my memory! Now if only the same could happen with Flock of Seagulls haircut!
A lot of that early stuff came off the back of punk/new wave/electro in new york in the late 70's early 80's. It was when MCs started blending it with that it became that fully fledged electro scene.
Story of that haircut was the stylists had spent ages getting his hair ready for the video, then the bassist walked through the door and put his hand through it for a laugh, they didn't have time to redo it so left it as it was. Love this song, aberdude should do to as it's abut alien abduction
