Dont get me wrong I do not want McLaren, but i really dont think he is as bad as everyone is making out. Spent a few years under SAF learning the trade. Boro was a success England was just to soon for him, and dropping Beckham wasnt his finest hour. FC Twente a success Wolfsburg, not exactly sure what happened there, I think they sold players from under his nose, so he didnt have much of a chance. Forrest if media is to be believed, he was promised funds before he signed the contract, signed it, and found out there wasnt any funds, tried with what he had, then resigned and doesnt want any pay off at all from them, as they are skint. I still think he will be a success again for someone in this country, or abroad again, but it is a risk to take him on, as it could go either way, but then thats the same for 98% of all managers.
If Bruce goes, which i don't think he will just yet! But quite shocked nobody has thought about Rafa. Not a huge fan of some of his tactic's and seems a little FLIGHTY!!! He has publically said he wants to be in the premier league
I think McLaren suffers from the same problem as Eriksson - good club record overshadowed by poor international performance. I still don't want him mind.
Another one who I could see going to you guys personally, as I think he wants to manage in the Premier League again.
Gus Poyet? Not that I want him, but I reckon any prem team outside the top 6 would be looking at him if they let go of their current manager.
Would take Rafa Benitez like his record is up there with the best and you don't manage Valencia, Liverpool and Inter Milan if you aint a good manager Valencia 2 la liga titles 1 europa league Liverpool 1 Champions League 1 FA Cup 1 Super Cup 1 Charity Shield Inter 1 Supercopa Italiana 1 World Club Cup Wants to manage in the prem and CAN attract quality players, would be very happy if he was Brucie's replacement and was given money to build his own team for us, he is the man that could take us that bit further, as I said you don't manage 3 of the best sides in Europe if you aint a good manager
I was speaking to my ITK Premier League source and he told me Steve Bruce will get sacked if Sunderland don't win any of the next 3 games, the sacking will be likely to take place on the following Monday at 1.30, with Kevin Nolan a possible replacement and Shola as assistant manager. Though the favorite is likely to be Bob Bradley.
