Lost two of my quad muscles, along with skin grafts after in an accident with a double decker bus in 1982.... Gareth Roberts and Bobby McNeil came to hospital, VIP visit to Fer Ark when I got out....
Ended up working with Gareth 36 years later (he didn't remember the kid in the wheelchair!)...

With Covid rates as they are in Hull, that would be my primary reason for not going! Apparently when they were loading me into the ambulance all my Mrs and mate could hear was me shouting please don’t take me to hospital - I don’t want Covid.

That’s one of my side effects. Didn’t manage a dump in 5 days. I felt dreadful, so just decided to stop taking them.

It took 3 days of laxatives for the floodgates to open.:emoticon-0107-sweat:emoticon-0107-sweat
I was kept in for a week after a knee op.
They wouldn’t let me leave until I had a ****.
As soon as I could hobble I went to the loo...sat there for ages with nothing happening...told them I’d had a ****...and went home!
Unpleasant side affect, but I still kept pressing the morphine button!

Think your alright really, my misses had to go in for a bad asthma attack back around the beginning of April and it was like a military operation. Grabbed by the scruff of her neck marched off for a test and then sent to the ‘green zone’ as soon as it came back negative.

They were that desperate to clear the ward, I got sent home having not managed to see any friends off to the coast. So they prescribed a giant box of quick lax - which wasn’t quick.

Only got 1 scar and that was after a procedure when I was about 3 months old. By sheer coincidence, that also involved a helmet.:emoticon-0104-surpr

Do we think it's appropriate to get it out in public?

If it's what I had done, I was eleven yrs old with mine for medical reasons. It hurt like **** enarl

Speaking of physio’s, from experience of my missis going through two knee dislocations and surgery, I wouldn’t bother with the NHS physio and just pay a proper pro.

The NHS is great for many things but physiotherapy alas is definitely not one of them.

They are all the same. Physiotherapists generally all have to do the same degree.

Yes but the service you get rushed in and out of an NHS group session with a piece of paper and a nod of the head is a mile away from the very focussed and personalised service you will get privately.

From my experience of having her go thru it 3 times anyway.
