Aye it's a lot easier to whinge about everything than it is to look for the positives for the sake of morale, even if you're feeling down. Thank god we aren't all like that.

I agree with you Roger, the performance was a disgrace the starting eleven was a square pegs in round holes. I just don't get the negativity about everything Sunderland.

    In summary:

Grigg: created a few chances but missed a couple of sitters = 4

    Wyke: did **** all = 6

Hume: was lightweight and didn't contribute = 4

I'm sure they're trying to be controversial.

Towards the end of the first half, Wright dove straight towards our goal and headed the ball over the bar from about 3 yards out. It looked like an extremely difficult play to make. Is it?

Yeah it's one that often goes wrong. Does make for an entertaining own goal though when they power it into the roof of their own net.

I was worried as soon as I seen the starting eleven. When you play 3-4-3 or 3-4-1-2 as we did the onus is on the three up top to work out of their skins. As soon as I seen Wyke and Grigg together I couldn’t see who was going to graft in the middle of the park, Power never deviated from his normal game so that left Scowen with a bit of help from the two wingbacks to press high or provide the service to the front two. When we went behind, MKD’s just put eleven behind the ball and got touch tight to us, we couldn't turn them and had no pace to get behind them.
Griggs miss was almost comical but the blame lies with the manager in my eyes, his team his tactics.

Need to bring Sanderson in the fold next game. He’s too scared to play O’nien anywhere but wingback. Stick him in midfield ffs, his energy will carry us in games and I guarantee he will score more than all of our other midfielders. Something needs changing and I’m not just talking about the manager.

Bonkers how O'Nien can't get a game in midfield, he's arguably our best player and he's been played totally out of position all season. Must be getting on his tits nice lad as he is.

Apparently his interview said he set us up to counterattack. Against a side who hasn't won away for 20 years - he should go for that comment alone. And I am not one who advocated chopping and changing managers but enough is enough now

Sorry posted on wrong thread but FFS

Poor. Every other team in the league, when going 1 up against MK Don's early in the game wouldn't lose. Any other team, when going 2-1 down against them early in the second half, would bombard them until they buckled. The majority of these players will never play for a better club. They don't bloody show it. Replacing Grigg with Graham is like replacing a wet shoe with a wet shoe with a hole in it. Putting on a young eager player with 4 minutes to go whilst trailing is an insult to the player and the fans. I'm no manager, but that's just ****ing feeble.
