A couple of league games ago Lewis Potter did something very similar and the keeper saved. I’m pretty sure he didn’t get the same chorus of ****oriety.
Solid if not spectacular performance, some better finishing and it could have been 4 or 5. If you come away from a game with 3 points, a clean sheet and no injuries then it's been a successful afternoon.
Maybe because KLP doesn't do it every single time he gets half a chance or even every clear cut chance.....
Beating offside traps and outpacing the backline means nowt if he blasts it straight at the keeper. He's a striker, of course we should be expecting to finish a clean-through one-on-one chance. Great save, my arse. Their keep stood still and got lucky that the striker he was up against is gash.
Keeper maybe should've saved it, but whatever. First half was absolute ****e. Second half was improved but was against a team down a man and clearly playing for the draw, as you'd expect and required changes to actually give us something, so can't read into it. I'll take it.
There’s no shame in missing a 1-1 But Toms not played well again His cross was an embarrassment He was rightly subbed in midweek It’s not looking good for him at all. he might go at Xmas but if we go up he’ll be gone next season. Shame as he seems a decent lad
Managed 22 goals at Gillingham though, didn't he, with worse service too. He'll score more this season. We looked much better with him on the pitch and ended up winning the game. Though we didn't look great today.
