Would be good, dont want to piss on your chips tho mate but it can only be broke by 1500 tops to break our own record
I took one of my sons there for the England v Tunisia World Cup game. If I hadn't spoken fluent French we'd have been in serious bother. We were on the 'wrong side' of the Old Port and people were walking around with knives ffs.
Enjoy mate. Just opened a bottle of fizz now my red wine supplies have gone, it might be a long night, a night we have all, at least the majority on this forum, have been dreaming of
Yep well let’s hope we manage that and get behind the new owners and show what a fan base starved of success looks like
Aye we were warned about the port, tempting to go down cos it’s supposedly lively as ****, but we were told ‘accents, cut you’. I like a bit frisk but we stayed at the other end of the waterline with the swanky cafes/bars and lasses with 10grand bags
WTF are you talking about man ... ... there can't be anyone happier than me on here tonight. Drop the internet clichés ffs, they're really dreary.
I still think today is a massive coincidence that its exactly 1 year (well...yesterday) since the FPP loan was delivered to Madrox.....are they going to be part of the consortium or even leave their loan in the club....sure we will find out soon
Absolutely spot on mate. I'll never associate the two chancers with the club again, they both know the resentment for them both and the new majority investor won't allow them to speak to media. If/ when we return to the Premier League and they get large pay off to leave it will be worth every penny. Juan Sartori was brought in by SD and CM and he's potentially got this new lad in and between them they'll have **** load of footballing contacts. Keep the faith.
Thanks to all for keeping this thread going and supplying info as they could. The main thing for me that @Prehab26 has hinted at is the potential changes on the football side. This is desperately what we need - money as well but proper and really good leadership. I haven't raised a glass yet but will,
You maybe have an inkling but.....I would say that 3 billionaire businessmen will not be walking away from the club without something to show for it....as far as I can see they've got nothing yet apart from a million pound loss on expensive accountant reports last year. A lot of people are quite happy just to dismiss their involvement as to....new buyers will just pay them back, im pretty sure it won't be as easy as that
Well done to everyone who kept the faith, everyone who went to games and sat there thinking how has it come to this, if this is the day when things get better, remember it will be all the more sweeter for the last few years we've had. Maybe in a few years we might even talk about some of the good days we had even when the team was crap.
as it may well, finally be done but not quite dusted...we wanted SD and methven out of the club but i think we can allow them a little share, let's not forget this club was a complete train wreck when they came in, we were losing millions per week and going nowhere fast, yes they figured they could get a quick profit with a quick promotion but how many of us would not be looking for a bargain with 'instant' profit? i don't have to like them and i don't have to be happy they are still clinging on but i think i am adult enough to appreciate what they DID manage...even if it sadly (lol) went tits up for them, without covid i still think they would have braved it for the rest of the season as long as we were at/near the top but as we all knew, they could not sustain those losses...and for their initial work i won't begrudge them a little earner further down the line. (they might even be forced out well before we hit the premier league again so all hope is not yet lost )
