Regular posters will know I was always a fan of Llera and wanted him to stay this year but even I couldn't help laugh at this. Big Mig believes it was a mistake letting him (and others) leave during the Summer. Clearly he hasn't compared this year and lasts years league tables prior to the interview. www.hounslowchronicle.co.uk/west-lo...-point-to-prove-in-jpt-clash-109642-29531991/
to be fair to Mig we have only got 27 points so far this season, it's not like we're running away with it
So when he mentions most signed for championship teams- is he admitting as a collective that they massively underachieved?
I do think we should have kept him though, especially as he seemed happy playing as a back up. He could have done a job still, and as I've said many times I'm still worried that we're short at centre half - if Taylor/Morrison were to be injured that leaves us with Doc and Mambo - hardly Championship winning back up...
Kish you're forgetting Cort (who is however unavailable for 2 games). I agree however that we should have kept Llera, although I don't agree that he seemed happy to be backup, I remember in his first season with us when he was dropped for only a few games and he said in an interview that he doesn't want to be on the bench (and subtly suggested he would consider leaving).
I completley forgot Cort, and if Big Mig did do that (and I've no reason to doubt it after this new outburst!) then my whole point was a waste of time haa
Other than Mig and Racon who else has gone to a Championship club? Mig now loaned to L1 club and Racon at Millwall who are second bottom? Robbie was sold but Chris wanted to keep him. So what is Mig's point? Perhaps his inglish is not that good?
Also Christian Dailly went to Portsmouth....for about a week. Let's be honest here, neither Dailly or Llera are championship standard so no big loss there, and whether Racon is Championship standard is debatable, yet he's not being missed at all! One of the players I think we would have benefitted the most from keeping is now in League Two - Joe Anyinsah.
i think with the 5 sub rule coming in, semedo would have been a good bench option as defender and midfielder. woulda left more choice with the other 4 places on the bench. still, i dont think he's good enough for our first team now so probably wouldnt settle for that
WWOCB...spot on. Joe scored a lovely effort couple of weeks back. if he can keep fit, class player. great attitude...just didnt work out in SE7 for him but i wish him luck
Judging by his tweets, he also seemed genuinely disappointed to not be offered a contract, yet seemed to hold a very professional attitude towards it (rather than moaning about the decision). He also seemed to have a lot of time for the fans.
Anyinsah I saw as an x-factor he has pace and last season at times bullied defenders in a way i've never seen Charlton strikers do before, would have been nice to keep him but I can understand the reasons not to as well. Big Mig does himself no favours in that interview i'm sure he'll be chuffed that they won tonight though
He didnt say anything bad his line about leaving us for champs clubs a bit arye but generally ok you can tell he still loves us at heart
