I had a night out in Glasgow in 1999, the night before we played Scotland at Wembley. It seemed like every single person in Glasgow was wearing a kilt and ginger wig and chanting '**** the 'English'. I was with a mate from Basildon, we spent the entire night pretending we were Dutch. And who can forget the billboards during the 2002 World Cup, 'Support Sven's Team' ahead of the Sweden game and 'Och Aye Kanu' ahead of the Nigeria game.
I once had a new client in Scotland. The day before I was driving up to see her she called to warn me to take anything that mentioned England off the car. This included the number plates which had the name and address of the car dealer, which obviously mentioned the English town I bought the car from. She also mentioned not to speak to anyone and come straight to the door. When I got up there the amount of anti-English graffiti was astounding. This was during the 2006 World Cup. I’m glad Scotland have qualified so we have the pleasure of knocking the ****ers out when we beat them. They should have a Scottish independent vote in England. I know how I would vote
I sometimes wonder what the result would be if England had an independence vote....A massive yes vote I would think and who could blame them???
"You started it..." and now ... lack of/excess use of medication attribution ! You should stick with your attempted missionary position in West Yorks.
You want to stick to hackneyed cliches about racism. Maybe you should lecture your Canadian acquaintances about their treatment of the indigenous population.
Perhaps you don't read English too well ? Non of my acquaintances are racist. Get with the logic flow, desist with the diversionary tactics.
Steady on guys . Anyway what was the point of that friendly list night ROI where clearly not interested and England at half speed . The Nations league is prob the best thing that has come from UEFA IN a quarter of a century . It stops the stupid friendly matches
None of mine are. Though the sort of idiots who consider people who don't want Scotland to win a football match might think they are.
What was the point indeed...https://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/f...oronavirus-hours-playing-against-England.html
Nope, grandparents and it was my grandfather who started taking me to City so he was my footballing influence. I’ve been back a few times, it’s simply breathtaking, if not a bit of a pisser to get to.
I idolised my grandfather, which is why I followed the same things he did. It’s why I support the Faroe Islands, it’s why I only support City and it’s why I only ever have fish, chips and peas.
