From that article, some words that I read...

F1 chairman Chase Carey, said "Saudi Arabia is a country that is rapidly becoming a hub for sports and entertainment… and we are very pleased that F1 will be racing there from next season."

    How I interpreted them...

F1 chairman Chase Carey, said "Saudi Arabia is a country that is rapidly offering huge amounts of cash to any sports and entertainment organisations willing to go there. We are very pleased that F1 will be getting some of that money from next season."

The are trying to recover the 150million loss they have made so far! It's all about the money, F1 has been since Bernie took over.

It appears that the Vietnamese race in 2021 has been cancelled due to the arrest on corruption charges of a key official responsible for the race in Hanoi. The corruption charges don't relate to the race! More info https://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/formula1/54879815
The good news is that the Brazil race is showing as Sao Paulo, subject to confirmation with the promoter.
So if Vietnam is off that might leave a space for another race, maybe one of the good old venues of 2020?

Still no decision on Red Bulls second seat - Perez and Hulk waiting in the wings should they decide Albon is back to Toro Rosso.

Kind of think the delay is favouring Albon to be honest.

Perez could really cause some headaches in a Red Bull on alternative strategy making those long stints pay, can you imagine?!

If Albion is dropped , I think he will be out . Gassy is confirmed and I read that they are very keen on the young Japanese driver ?

Yes there is that, however with Hondas decision to pull out I believe their sway in brining a Japanese driver into the fold may be less than it was.

Who would you choose Jasp, if you were in charge of RBR?
I think Perez would be an interesting one as he has t got the one lap pace to hurt Max but is racy and great on alternative strategy, so he fits for me.

That said, I have always wanted to see Hulk get a chance in a podium-capable car.

It’s tough . I think possibly Hulk is the mentally tougher of the two , but Perez can fight as well , and he bring quite a lot of financial clout , so I would say on balance Perez just . I agree though it would be good to see hulk back , Haas ? But would he want it ?

Perez for me. He'd make a very solid number 2 at Red Bull. Excellent at managing tyres, capable of getting some great results on his day and would be there or thereabouts to pick up the pieces if Max has problems. Perfect.

    Gasly is confirmed at AT.
    Kvyat presumably out.

Tsunoda might help fulfil a Honda desire to get a Japanese driver back, he's P3 in F2 at the moment and only needs P5 for them to be able to get a superlicense. Seems likely he'll get the AT seat?

That would presumably mean the end of Albon. Whilst I like Hulk, and he has a good relationship with Verstappen, surely Perez is the stronger tactical option. Much more likely to worry/frustrate Mercedes on alternative strategies, and if his pace is even a little better than Albon's, it makes sense.

Hulk for me, simply because Perez's a bit crash happy with his team-mates I don't think RBR'd take the risk.

The problem is that Perez and Hulk are known quantities. When they're languishing a lap down on Max it might make Red Bulls philosophy stand out a little too bright.

Few, if any, would be able to match Max in that Red Bull even if all things were equal. But we all know they're very much not.

Course there even why would Red Bull do that to one of there drivers, he's just alot faster then he's teammates, Ricciardo should of never left.

Yes he should have. He knew how they operate and saw the focus was on Max and no one else. Repeatedly that shows with the burn rate of the Number 2 drivers.

Somewhat unusual source, but they're trying to build a reputation as reliable...Missed Apex podcast are strongly suggesting that they know Perez is going to be announced at Red Bull. Seems odd for that to come in a Perez press conference, not a Red Bull one though.

Much as Alex is a lovely chap and I'm sure he's a better driver than he looks in the Red Bull at the moment, I think Perez would be a very solid bet for Red Bull.
