The original Wimbledon are now MK Dons and AFC Wimbledon are the new Wimbledon trying to be the old Wimbledon. Is that right? It confuses me a tad.

Which team do the old Wimbledon supporters follow?

Yes the original Wimbledon moved to Milton Keynes and became the MK Dons, after the original club folded I believe. However, the supporters were not happy with this along with many fans such as myself, so we refuse to travel there. Hence AFC Wimbledon came about. I think any fixtures attached to the old Wimbledon are not attached to either the new AFC Wimbledon or MK Dons. Unless anyone knows differently, please remember I'm reliving this off the top of my head.

Edit: The old supporters follow AFC Wimbledon.

I think there was something where AFC Wimbledon tried to stop MK Dons, using the Dons, I don't remember the outcome, other than to say they are still using it. All a bit grey I'm afraid in the old brain matter.

I know the FA Cup win is officially owned by AFC Wimbledon. Think they just moved into a new ground near plough lane too?

Great story. Hope MK go bust.

AFC Wimbledon is a bit like a Gills B Team, our clubs have always worked closely together, been some memorable matches over the year, non more so when they beat us 3-4 at our place in a lower league thriller. They moved several grounds, I went about two seasons back to one of their grounds, fooking pain in the arse to get to, but I believe they have moved again now, more closer to their old location.

Wimbledon's old ground was shared with Crystal Palace, wasn't it? I was at Selhurst Park in the mid 90's when we were relegated from the Premier league and I could swear it was Wimbledon who sent us down that day.

Yes, there was something with Crystal Palace now you mention it, but I can't remember the story.

They were just about to move into a new stadium built on their original at Plough Lane as covid hit iirc. I've often considered going up their to watch them as I slowly become disillusioned with professional football. It's the only professional fan owned club in England, and a £1 tram ride away.

Oh so they've actually gone back to the Plough Lane site, excellent.
