Isn't it more of Corbyn politics, when Magic Grandpa promised to throw money at everything and no one believed him?

So far, Starmer is following suit over these veteran payments, furlough payments, benefits etc. He has to say where the money's going to come from under Labour, and post Covid, it's going to be in short supply

No, it's saying 'Why don't you give more money to forces charities instead of to your useless pals'.

You’d like to think the Magic Grandpa bollocks would be firmly put to bed with the amount this lot have siphoned off to their mates for sub-par services gifted to them without a tender.

Are you saying these PR payments were made to Boris's pals? What evidence do you have for that?

Boris will have to justify, and the electorate will have to judge, his outgoings during his government and particularly in relation to addressing the pandemic. PR is not a dirty word if it's used to get governmental messages out to the public re saving the NHS etc. No government can do without public relations advice and support and that includes a Labour government.

This makes me laugh, coming from a poster that insists on calling Tory voters Gammons

    no smoke without fire.

4 billion given to PPE companies where the government is refusing to release information on.

Even if they are not mates.... which lets face it they are... why was a 122 million contact for PPE handed to a company that has existed for a month? The people who set up said company have no background in manufacturing or the medical profession. A ferry company contract for a company with no ferries.... these are hardly isolated incidents.

I find it impossible to believe that any business or government could show zero levels of due diligence with multi million pound contracts

I think the sums in question are pretty paltry. What's smart is going big on patriotism - a weak spot for Labour since 2010 which they need to address - and contrasting spending on veterans with spend on PR, which I'd guess most people will agree with Starmer on.

You're right about the patriotism deficit in Labour. It crept in during Blair, and went on steroids during the Corbyn era when national pride or national identity was a dirty word if you were English. It'll take more than this to help Starmer, imo, particularly in view of his high profile stance on Remain and a second referendum. But I guess it's a start, and Boris Johnson's headless chicken organisational style of government will help him

    Just Magic Grandpa

Okay so what does the coup in no10 mean to us.
Why when Cain is offered a promotion does he resign?
Will Cummins and Frost walk out...are they unhappy?

Is the Cummins group being attacked, why does Boris's fiance have a say in who is chief of staff?

Why is this all happening now, when we have been cheered up by the possibility of a vaccine and the Brexit negotiations are going the way that Boris wants them to go?

If I was being really cynical I’d suggest it’s helped kick the 50,000 (as if it’s really that low) Covid deaths down the pecking order.

    Happy wife happy life?

Can't see Cumings walking... unless it involves stabbing Johnson in the back and getting a job with another senior Tory

Machiavellian maneuverings. Now that Cain's gone, everyone's queuing up to say what an awful bloke he was.

Boris is such an organisational disaster, there'll be a battle now as to who will fill the void and exercise considerable power
