As a player, the man is up there, that block in the play off final to me was a pivotal point in the game, when we were under the cosh. I turned to the fella next to me and said, that’s it we’re going to win and I was very relax for the rest of the game. Yes he got us our highest finish, but I’m sorry he soured it for me with his back stabbing of Laudrup.
I remember some talk re his stabbing Laudrup in the back, but, like virtually everything posted on forums like this, there is no real proof to back it up. I tend to ignore gossip. We will never know what really happened re the Laudrup dismissal, I have my own theory, but it's such a long time ago. I do remember Dai insisting that Laudrup "relegated The Swans ", even though he was sacked in February, if my memory holds good. Dai was such a huge Laudrup fan.
Supporters of the Club are the constant ,millions before have contributed in their hard earned wages to keep the club alive. Managers are just fly by nights , including Monk
Our erstwhile resident sage claimed that he would be Additionally, I seem to recall an article in one of the papers suggesting that he should be in the frame
Supporters contributions merely allow them access to see a game. Nothing more, nothing less. Managers come and go. It's what happens in the sport. Supporters come and go as well, depending on results, which division the team is in, style of play, etc.
Oh dear, This is now getting SO tiresome. Your need to undermine and discredit Monk far exceeds my desire to discuss it any further, I've got better things to do with my time. I do hope you understand.
I had noticed his absence. Hope he's allright. He is one of us after all. Do you have any news about his welfare, etc. ?
Hope so but worry - given Liverpool and to an extent Brendan's success..................................
