edit.. No matter how ****ing daft or even bleeding obvious If all we did was agreed like nodding ****ing dogs there would be no opinions and this would then just be a ****ing youth club !!! Pass the pool cue...Jimmy...
Come on fellas calm down. It’s a **** cup which be honest - I couldn’t give two ****s about. The result is a positive with our second string. Positives are some fringe players excelled Samuelson and McLoughlin. I’m not sure Eaves warrants all the stick - how’s a player going to find consistency if he isn’t getting regular football?
Who or what is Fifa. I presume you not on about this lot Federation Internationale de Football Association (FIFA)
Such scathing wit. Yes, I have never ever in my life kicked a ball. Ever. Not even when playing for my school team or any local sides which I did so into my twenties. Not even once. You finally caught me! Though we never really used those old leather balls that concuss you when you head one, so I suppose in some people's eyes I haven't really kicked a 'real' ball... You do have previous in the 'real' fans debate, after all, so you know all the criteria for that sort of thing. I'll leave it there, cluttering up the thread otherwise.
As footballs were coated to stop absorption of water since 1970 most people will not have played with a "proper" football. The weight of a ball at the beginning of a game has never altered.
I'm always baffled why people get so upset with comments made on a football forum, but when it's about a game between two teams playing in.... Wait.... What was this game? What's it called? Is it a cup or something? Oh anyway, I'm off to bed. Well after I've had a piss anyway. I'll leave you guys with that thought.... Kemps having a piss. Sleep tight
Well I have and I I kicked one in the 60s, **** that “proper football “ Give me a modern light one any day, if you think controlling an old leather football was hard, try the rugby balls back then, Jesus!!!!
Played rugby back in the 60s, so know what you mean. As for footballs, the specified weight for a football has never altered. Modern ones aren't lighter at the start of a game, though they are aerodynamically different due to the panels. The difference is what they are like at the end of a game when it was chucking it down with rain.
Not so long ago, before we played at Wembley and the novelty apparently wore off for some, we would have taken 30,000 to Wembley even for a tournament like this. Fans who have been going for while will remember how gutted we were when we had a two legged final and then the year after they switched it to Wembley. Should imagine if Sunderland get to the final they won't be short of fans wanting to go.
Oh the ****ing rain.... felt like a medicine ball when you took a throw in, weighed a ton, well it did to an 8 year old. I remember after scoring a try for Boulevard juniors, I had to take the kick, it was like try to move a stone, went no more than 10 feet, 5 in the air, 5 forward but tackling was a different animal, loved that in the rain...
Completely off the subject, not that it matters on this forum but **** me just seen a picture of Nadia Comaneci... by ell girl... you grew up !!!!
I played Union. Only available sport at my school. Used to enjoy it but would rather have played football. Kicking was a lot different when you dug your heel into the ground and twisted to make a mound to place the ball on. These plastic conee make it a lot easier. Though league players cannot kick as consistently well from distance and awkward angles as union ones.
Holloways at the grems cos he wants to build something. Have respect for Colin also, but more for Holloway. Must be hard lugging around that massive cock n balls all the time you can't just give credit without being the big man eh?
You want to read about what the bastard son of the bastard Cauecescau did to her. And how her father, another bastard, was bought off by him.
I know three people who have played for Warnock going back a long time and another I have met who played for him and they all speak highly of him.
