Although I’m down on the whole football scene at the moment (exacerbated by us getting dicked by villa) I can see what Arteta is doing. He’s improved us already, but it’s going to take time to come through the **** storm we’ve been through. He’s making us manage games better, be more difficult to play against and retain possession better, especially playing out from the back. The problem at the moment is that we’re a bit slow and a bit cautious. So we’re not really offering much danger to the oppo. We’re well organised though and I think once this team finds its confidence we’ll be okay. Hopefully that Villa debacle was a wake up call, because we can’t go into game playing in 3rd gear like that. We need to have much more intensity and drive. Moving the ball forward quicker rather than dithering.
