No chance of the club buying the ageing Anelka is there? Will we buy any striker? I doubt it, especially when our lack of depth in that position is being masked so well at the minute...

Is this kid just after wages? I think its always a combination for them. Everyone wants to play in the PL. Especially at a top 4 club.............................haha

Let's not overestimate the 'integrity' of other players, the fact is, nearly every player that arrives in England is looking to make more money, play in the most famous league in the world, advance their career, etc. The only reason Maiga has suddenly gained this reputation is because Sochaux didn't sell, and then sent him to the reserves. Otherwise, we'd all have been praising the kid for WANTING to actually play in Newcastle, which is more than can be said for many of our other targets in the summer.

He's nothing like Ben Arfa. Ben Arfa was ****ed over by Marseille who told him to find another club and then refused our offer after he'd agreed terms with us. He was well within his rights to kick off.

Maiga's just in it for the money, he barely even tries to conceal it saying the 'numbers' are too good to refuse. He's not even that good, despite his good start to the season in a **** league.

He wants to help us win the league so pay the man and lets get the **** on with it. I don't give a **** if he wants money as long as he scores the ****ing goals

How do ba and best have a good partnership, its far too early to say that, couple games ago most people were willing to write Ba off. maiga would be briliant, however cant see that needs their heads examining.

I have always said Ba is a good player - said he would be our topscorer and still stand by that now

They are both playing very well though and link up between them is evident. Both also have at least one assist for the other so far as well.

I agree but what over 3/4 games, that regardless how good they have been playing better is no evidence of a long term partnership that will flourish, and even if it was, an injury to either and were ****ed, back to shola ****ing twat, and maiga is clearly a fantastic player. nothing wrong with getting him, if he is money greedy he will move on and we will make a profit, at least for the time he was here he would do the job.

i dont dispute facts, but people are talking as if its a long established partnership, its not. and we are yet to see if it flourishes

Don't think Cisse would go down well with a lot of our fans.
