I think that's pretty mild as wishing people dead became the norm when it all went wrong with RD, though I'm sure you never had such thoughts.
On a serious note, I sort of admire any fan who is willing to give up their time to attend some fairly monotonous meetings. What puts me off CAST is that it’s such a closed shop, it tickles the tummy of a certain segment of our fanbase (the nosy 2%)
Admire....everyone of those fans should have got a medal for sitting through that lot. Everitt's a true fan, but the job beef gets in the way of what he brings to the table.
Anyone can join though. Most people are like me (and probably you) and can't be bothered with all the boring stuff. The ones who can be bothered end up on the board, but no-one is excluded.
The problem you get with every committee is too much detail about stuff that isn't important. That meeting was three times the length of time it needed to be. Whether we mean to or not, we can all catch committee fever (I love the sound of my own voice) though I imagine even Wiseman is well intentioned.
Just watched Hawtrey boring the a*** off the gathering. "I won't bore you" he opened up with He trotted out the stuff he disagrees with now, a total about turn
I ended up joining last season when things looked bad - I've voted for Lauren Kreamer and anyone else completely new to it. Nothing against the incumbents but I'd like to see new people involved
