What a fantastic atmosphere at the KC on Saturday, I had my singing voice on in E2 but most of the east stand chipped in! Was a great day! The attendances are slowly building back up, so its great to see! Best chant so far is the Waghorn one: "Waggy Waggy Waggy, OI OI OI! Waggy, OI Waggy, OI Waggy Waggy Waggy, OI OI OI!" Brilliant! UTT
Before the crowd got stick for not singing much, on the pitch there wasn;t much to shout about. last few games there has and = better atmosphere. It was great!
the atmosphere was OK but lets not get too carried away eh? Try a new (old) song: Aye Aye Aye Aye, Basso is better than Yashin and Waggy is better than Eusebio and Cardiff are in for a thrashing (change as appropriate) This is followed by a sustained period of wooden rattling by the way!!! How about: We ve got Robbie Robbie Robbie Robbie Brady on the wing, on the wing We ve got Robbie Robbie Robbie Robbie Brady on the wing, on the wing Robbie. Robbie Brady. Robbie Brady on the wi----ing Robbie. Robbie Brady. Robbie Brady on the wing. Again followed by a sustained period of wooden rattling!!! Anyone for Bow Legged Chicken?
Got to agree bev tiger the team have give the faithful something to sing and shout about .Hope we have turned a corner with our home games and the fans start coming back.
No one is getting carried away, just thought it worth mentioning, as whenever we sing it gets mentioned. It makes the day a lot more of a fun day out when everyone backs the team!
I think the non-believers are gradually being won over, if we keep getting the KC up for it like that there will be no stopping us this season.
Can't beat the bread from skeltons, chips from carvers, tarts from tower chant at Peterborough. Class.
There was a big chant of we are Hull we are Hull.... Straight after the Cardiff equalizer. I always like a nice defiant shout like that, after what was,at the time,a kick in the teeth, against the run of play.
Imagine the pandemonium there would be if someone took a wooden rattle to football nowadays. I used to love the sound of those. Ian Ian Butler Ian Butler on the wing ............. Knock kneed chicken and all that. Still love the Dolan / Pulp song. Very good.
But seriously as a few of us have been saying for ages, our recent success at home is connected with the atmosphere. It's a chicken and egg situation but the job of the crowd is to provide the backing that gives the players the confidence to win. The tough part is keeping it up even when the team or individual players are struggling.
ive still got me wooden rattle from the 60s!!! wonder if it would be something for the tigers museum?
Great to hear the full east stand singing in tandom on Saturday! Sunny days always bring out the best atmosphere though (probs due to over indulgence in alcohol)
the original owner of this chant (true tiger legend ken wagstaff...No.10) has a wry smile on his face now as not many thought we would ever be able to chant that again. but yes i do agree its great to have that back in our armoury of chants thats for sure.
