Pickle, surely, there should be a comma after, "chimps"?

Well, I'm glad that wasn't directed at me then! Why doesn't freedom of speech extend to forums? I'll say what I want though?

****ing hell, girl/boy, I'll give you a clue, very seldom does a comma go before the word, "and" or, "but". Ok?

Yes and as I said you use different styles for different audiences. I feel if you throw in the odd '****' or '****' here and there, then this is correct cultural grammar for here. Ironic may be a word you are yet to encounter.

I try to look objectively at these things, I work in an online bookmakers in the trading office. I spend the majority of my life surrounded by men and sport, and the amount of swear words I hear every day when Barca score their fifth goal or the favourite rumps home. These are all highly educated men working for a very succesful PLC on the FTSE 250, hardly a bunch of children.

Yet I come here and see some people being offended by the slightest thing. I'm not going to try appease those people, if they are easily offended they need to harden up. There are a few people who act the idiot because they are suddenly allowed to swear but they will hopefully calm down in time. I have however drawn the line at porn and racism. I'm not particularly politically correct but I want to able to browse this site in work without a gaping arsehole filling my screen.

But anyway never even mind my office for colourful language, go to my local in Belfast to watch an Old Firm match. It's superb.

I think it's because the mods aren't actually taking away your right to say the things, just your right to say them on their internet forum. It's like the way you're well within your rights to throw a guest out of your house if they start saying things you don't like. There are also laws against hate speech against anyone on the grounds of a load of different things; race, sexual orientation, religious affiliation, and the like.

btw anyone noticed the forum running faster tonight? Found out which queries were locking the database today and zapped them, 2 days of effort - bloody annoying. There is still a lag every couple of mins on the homepage, it's those latest activty widgets at the right hand side. Not sure what I'm gonna do about them yet.

Banned a load of IPs who were hitting certain scripts on the site hundreds of times a minute, who's online and search disabled for guests seems to have done the job. Hopefully that should be the last of the issues, got a learn to stop ****ing about with **** on the server and just leave it when it's working.

It's not ironic, it's just bad luck, but if you were marrying a weather man and he said it would be sunny, then it would be ironic!!
