http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/15155565.stm according to MK Dons boss Karl Robinson, who clearly believes they should have beaten us, said with confidence and seemingly not joking. That game could've gone either way, after the 2nd half I thought it was a shame not to convert a winner. Sometimes confidence can be great, but mindless bias can be negative, I wonder how his players will react to reasonless comments. On a side, BBC need to have some maths lessons, if they thought about this article they say we'd be even with Dons if they got the 4 points he believes they should have, but actually they'd be a point ahead as you'd be taking a point away from us, whilst on the Sheff Utd highlights they claim the win puts us 5 points clear at the top........ Good stuff BBC, almost as good as the old e-mail questions on Football League Show
IF you can keep your head when all about you Are losing theirs and blaming it on you, If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you, But make allowance for their doubting too; If you can wait and not be tired by waiting, Or being lied about, don't deal in lies, Or being hated, don't give way to hating, And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise: If you can dream - and not make dreams your master; If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim; If you can meet with Triumph and Disaster And treat those two impostors just the same; If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools, Or watch the things you gave your life to, broken, And stoop and build 'em up with worn-out tools: If you can make one heap of all your winnings And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss, And lose, and start again at your beginnings And never breathe a word about your loss; If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: 'Hold on!' If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue, ' Or walk with Kings - nor lose the common touch, if neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you, If all men count with you, but none too much; If you can fill the unforgiving minute With sixty seconds' worth of distance run, Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it, And - which is more - you'll be a Man, my son! But if you can't accept you were beaten by Charlton and Bury then you will always be a sad fantasist Mr Robinson.
I love the idea that he thinks his team has not got the results they should have. What a ridiculous argument, as anyone in football will recognise. It's a comment that anyone associated with a football club could use. Hopefully it means he's stressed and looking for excuses and this will show in his team's performances.
I think he's spot on. If they'd beaten us, Bury, Huddersfield, Wednesday, Hartlepool and Brentford, they'd be top. Fact.
Bang on! If West Ham had points deducted for the Tevez saga we may have stayed in the Premier League, if Nicky Bailey had taken that penalty sensibly we may have currently been in the Championship (or even Premier League), if those blooming Arabs took us over three years ago we could be in the Premier League with Lionel Messi and Cristiano Ronaldo on either wing. Anyone who dwells on the "shoulda's" and "coulda's" won't get very far in life (or indeed in football).
and if we'd won the games we should / could have won then we'd be top with a maximum haul of 33 points.... a draw at MK Dons was a fair result and both teams could have won it
And then your reminded he's 31, talks like it to. Like a kid who lost the under 12's match on the weekend. Wow, genuinely sounds immature in that bbc article. We are 5 clear by the way
when Robinson was a pundit a few weeks back when we drew at home against the Wednesday he looked very smug Maybe he only sings when he's winning
No one else notice he mentions burnley? Makes him look very, very silly. Possibly an early sign that the pressure of a tiny bit of success has gotten to him?
They lost to Burnley in the League Cup, and Wednesday in the league. Drew with us and Huddersfield in the league. I think it's fair enough to mention Burnley in the context of your last 5 matches, if you've played Burnley in your last 5 matches. Anyway, he's right, as I already said.
