A point away to our biggest rivals is pretty good but can’t help but feel disappointed what could have been if we had our 3 world class players starting - VVD, Fab and Thiago.

if we can keep our players fit, we’re walking the league. But that’s a pretty bit if. The PL and FA need to intervene to protect the players now.

Oh yeah totally agree on what you both are saying to a degree
But there is no point in us claiming it wasn’t a pen
As long as they are consistent I can tolerate it
Unfortunately I think a bit like Jaffa that the one that was dismissed very easily could also have been looked at
As Jaffa said one of the angles did look like the arms were away from the body.
Defo not disagreeing with a lot that has been said

anyway happy with performance and the point

I thought it was a mistake trying to accommodate bobby for two reasons:

    1) he’s in awful form
    2) it forced Jota to RW where he’s ok but not great

if we had played a 4231 with Jota as the 9 and bobby as 10, then maybe.

Bobby needs dropping - plain and simple. He started the game ok but got worse and worse. He’s actually a liability in attack now - he’s not creating, scoring or even shooting. Constantly ruining attacks. He should have done better for that chance in the first minute.

I’m hoping he can rediscover his form by taking a rest and being dropped. But I fear this is the beginning of the end for him

Shoutout to Hendo and Gini because they worked their bollox off and did their best to support the attack. It tailed off in the second half, at which point I was expecting Klopp to bring on another midfielder.

Coming back from injury and straight into our biggest fixture, Matip was superb defensively. Rusty on the ball but you couldn’t fault him for anything else. He’s so calm and composed.

And what a big difference Alison makes. The best sweeper keeper in the world. He spots danger so quickly and comes off his line at the right time.

It was weak from Klopp to not drop him imo.

For the life of me I can't work out why Salah played centrally and Jota wide right, even with all four on I'd still play both Salah and Mane wide, jota and Bobby rotating, that's what I wanted to see yday.

Good point away from home at the only side who will be competing with us come the business end.

    Happy with that.

You have to look at an away point at City as a decent result, we didn't deserve more. A real tactical battle but we ran out of steam imo. Good start to the season other than Villa.

I'm not a Shakira fan as most know but he's been effective recently and also worked hard. Long may that continue.

Agreed, although I didn't care for him being wide in 4-4-2 yesterday. Front of the midfield 3 suits him well

This season is really difficult to read imo as , although not as many , we are still getting unusual results plus the fixture congestion and lack of pre season is clearly leading to injuries .
The injuries may in fact become the decisive factor .

Said it since last season, we win or don't drop pts in our games against city this year and we win the title.

We were very fortunate with injuries last season, seems we're getting then this year instead; Alisson, VVD, Trent, Matip, Fabinho, Hendo, Thiago, Ox, etc
