Doherty made a big difference to them, I think. Hasn't made a massive impact at our place, but they've missed him, so far. Sold Jota too, so they've lost two threats, one on each side of the pitch. Didn't replace Jota, either.
Well this is the point, giving **** officials technology won't suddenly make them good, they'll still be ****. Agree about picking up players who don't make it, as well as those whose careers are shortened by injury. The VAR officials should also be a separate team to the ones on the pitch, recruit retired ones from abroad perhaps? Make offside subject to clear and obvious and introduce a 30 second time limit on all decisions. All of the above would improve it massively. It'll still be **** though.
You're definitely playing better than them so far this season, but international breaks **** up momentum. Wouldn't like to call it.
The only trouble with picking up players, is you will see the same result as what you see in the studio, bias, dependent on the position you played. So a defender will say no handball, a striker will say handball. Just bin VAR and its team altogether, bring back arguments of old, that still persist now, but without having to pay a fortune for useless technology.
Bar the odd result we've been pretty good since the turn of the year. Ings is obviously a big miss but think there's more goals in the team than last season. International break come at a good time in that respect. With you lot playing City and Leicester playing Liverpool it's a good opportunity to stick around near the top for a while longer.
Is it just Leicester that do that, it looks like the sort of thing Fosse would do after a few glasses of bubbly.
