Cannot believe what I’m reading on here. I don’t know who people think we would get in if we sack Parkinson, the manager who’s delivered our best start to a league 1 campaign? He’s been given no funds, a squad that’s failed under the previous manager, minus catts, maja, Oviedo and the keeper. ive seen poor football under him but also good football, and we have beaten 2 out of 3 promotion rivals. We’ve lost ONE league game this season. Even when we win he’s criticised, and if it’s not him it’s certain players that are jumped on. How about support the team, the manager and the club. After all, that’s what supporters are meant to do.
he won't play Mceady or Benji(now injured) ? Flannagan is still here who cost us in the play of final, then re signed Graham for christ's sake, we are a sidewards backwards team yet again, and will finish mid table now at best under parky, we are well and truly goosed now, if it was not for the kind refs in the previous 2 games he would be gone on Monday, he has the worst F A cup record in SAFC history now. get Decanio back please.
I don't understand this. How can it be embarrassing bringing in a player from a club who are a league above us and doing very well?
Parky would have been quite simply the cheapest option. He was out of work and probably doesn't get paid a great deal.
Because he’s a **** footballer that a little football team didn’t want, I’m sure there was unwanted players from better teams we could’ve picked up
People are lashing out at the only visible part of the management of the club. I'm quite sure Donald told Parkinson he'd have no money for signings etc ... ... but Parkinson took the money knowing he'd probably fall short. Whatever the case we're not in the top two of a terrible league and are just scraping by. Peoples' anger may be slightly misdirected but it's quite justified imo, even our victories are dreary .... ... as everything seems to be with Parkinson. Whoever is to blame it isn't the supporters.
Initially I did cheer them on and shout encouragement but eventually I realised that although I can hear them they can't hear me. Support works a lot better when we're actually in the stadium.
Well that's a different reason to the one you originally gave. That little football team are miles ahead of our club. You've got an entitled attitude and I'm not sure why. We are a bang average 3rd division club dreaming about being in Millwall's position right now.
Who cares what Millwall are doing I'm a sunderland fan and there aren't half the club we are even at this time, getting a unwanted player from them screams at people actually thinking we're here for the long haul. Feck that get some players in that can play football and not some that are too **** to play for little clubs like Millwall
Have a like because I admire your enthusiasm. Disappointed yesterday and hit the home brew straight after the game Disappointed because I'd expect us to win even with a cobbled side, but shìt happens and the league comes first imo.
I don't care what Millwall are doing. 'They aren't even half the club we are even at this time' - get your head out ya backside, pal.
Go **** yourself, I stand by that quote they've done nothing of note in history. You sound like you're a happy clapper and are happy sign unwanted players of his nature then go and support someone of their ilk. I want more for my club and signing **** that they didn't want is not gonna get us out of this league.
Lol I want what's best for Sunderland, too. Don't tell me who to support you little clown. I'm realistic, unlike you. Bed wetter
Ooohh the little dreaded smilies, I'm not getting into a argument with a child so run along and finish your homework little boy
I get that people are frustrated with the lack of ambition, the lack of spending and no new owners. But to take that out on a manager and team that are in good form and a point within the promotion places, I’m struggling to understand. Even you said, 4 days ago: “We've lost one game ... ... every other team has lost more. Ipswich, Lincoln, Hull and Portsmouth have lost three times as many with only a quarter of the season gone. That's good isn't it ....“
That's true, wouldn't be a good vibe. Personally whatever I say on here I'm always positive when I'm at the game, or at least neutral if we're dire.
This is a thread about yesterday's match and I reckon people are entitled to pass comment. Parkinson played Grigg and Graham together which, before the match, people said would be a disaster. He played Dobson and Power together which, before the match, people said would be a disaster. He deserves praise, where it's due, but deserves criticism for yesterday ... ... it was indefensible.
