Your the bigger man no 7 for letting it slide and walking away ,but it’s important to get on with your neighbours.....but there’s still no room for racist comments from him......none at all.

Funny you should say that Godders, Mrs No7 was more horrified by it, but I was more chilled. It really affected her and the 'peace' we have now is better than what went before. We have put a 8ft fence between our houses though in the front driveway, in front of their 4ft fence as it is 'their side'. Makes our house look good and theirs a ramshackle lol.

Also got a lovely 9 metre run of LED lights I installed along the bottom of the fence that look amazing and we have been here 30 years and would have never done any of that if they hadn't moved in 3 years ago. Should have done it years ago as it looks amazing. Every cloud and all that.

I agree - I think it was more the two daughters friends, (aged 30 and 18) but not 100% sure, You get brought up in a certain way. Funny how they are breaking lockdown and she works as a secretary in the NHS in Bournemouth hospital though. She can queue jump in supermarkets but from things she has said she thinks coronavirus is lie and exaggerated. Don't get me wrong, I applaud and move out of the way for all front line workers, but it grates a bit that a secretary in the NHS can claim the NHS card but not believe in lockdown. We're doing it for the NHS after all.

    Rant over.

I work with someone that honestly believes the vaccine is really a chip and Bill gates is behind it.
You only have to read stories like this to realise the severity of it.

I thought I was in 2 minds about it Jasper, but turns out I'm not. Every time some entitled little **** decides the rules don't apply to them and has a bit of a get together, the chances of the virus spreading is increased which potentially means longer restrictions and more loss to life and business for everyone else.
If your neighbours have a party, then one of the guests starts a new infection spike after catching it at said gathering, and then bang! Your gran's dead...an occasional cup of sugar or a twitching curtain when you're away on holiday is not enough. If I like my neighbour, I'd go and warn them that the party needs to be over, and if I didn't like them, then they wouldn't even get the courtesy of a warning.

Karma is good. Nothing to do with me, but in the words of football fans:

"It's all got quiet over there"

Nice visit from the boys in blue and all of a sudden we have a quiet cul-de-sac again :)

And the best bit is, you didn’t have to do a thing.

“Let the wicked destroy themselves”. An old Rasta bloke told me that once; it came true in the context he used it then, and I’ve seen it happen many times since.

Without wishing to cross over any threads, this would appear to be the case with an orange-coloured American.

Absolutely no excuse for anyone working in the NHS to be breaking the lockdown rules.
I am sure there are others, who are desperate for a job, who could replace her, were she to lose hers.
I would send an anonymous letter to the head of admin, without naming names, so that the issue of lockdown breaches are raised in team briefings.
She would then know that you potentially hold her job in your hands.

Thanks very much for all the kind words and well wishes. I'm deeply touched by your kindness. I'm feeling much the same today so no worse and I'll take that very much as a positive. If anyone wants to know what this feels like, it's a bit like a dose of the flu but without the fever and being unable to get out of bed for a few days. Apart from feeling short of breath and aching all over it's not too bad really.

I do have a selection of liqueurs I made last year, spiced blackcurrant rum, raspberry and chilli vodka and blueberry tequila that seem to be very effective at reducing the aching and bringing about a feeling of contentment. I'll stick with them and report back on the health benefits as and when I am able to make sense of my keyboard.

Biden wins, vaccine on the way, Saints top 4. I suggest we change ‘November’ to ‘Yes-vember’.
