My excuse is, I’m shocked, McCann seemed to use a different tactic today.

I have no idea what a lock box is.

But finding six hundred and fifty notes in one sounds like a good thing.

Happy for you. (Assuming it is a good thing).

To be fair, you couldn't predict that.

    What happened to Ched Evans?
Sounded as if it was emergency Ward 10 on the pitch, and he was having surgery.

PS..I heard McCann say he wants to take the team to Wembley! Do they still have concerts there?

EFL Trophy final is played there, though as we're bottom of the group, we have to win both games to progress.

Neither would I. But then they didn't, so it's fine.

To be fair, we have only played one game, against arguably the toughest side in the group.

Even so, I wouldn't have expected a senior team full of professionals to be beaten by Leicester's kids in a competitive match. If that was a pre season friendly I would have been annoyed. The fact that they're better than Grimsby and Harrogate is of little comfort <laugh>

EDIT: Wait, we played our kids didn't we? Am I thinking of the League Cup?

We played a much weaker side and lost to a dodgy last minute pen.

    Here's the side:

Harvey Cartwright; Festus Arthur (Jordan Hickey 79), Alfie Jones, Jacob Greaves, Sean McLoughlin; Daniel Batty ©, Max Sheaf, Callum Jones; Martin Samuelsen (Billy Chadwick 63); James Berry, Keane Lewis-Potter.

Personally, I'd rather us take it a bit more seriously.

Our team against Leicester's U21s was younger than theirs!

That's fine, I thought I'd got confused, I think I was thinking about the Sunderland league cup game which was around the same time.

Fair enough, in that case it was a decent result. You're right, it would be nice to see a few more fringe players getting a run out, we aren't bound to playing U23s so we might as well give it a shot.

Because when I was younger I used to stash money for the future. A few months back I found an NSI account I opened when I left uni and it had £300 in it. I've moved house three times in the last decade, got married, had a child and done some other stuff, guess it just slipped my mind.

You know that £500 I lent you? If you could pay it back by Monday that would be great thanks
