After watching that today several people are very lucky to be employed by our Club. We need a shake up from top to bottom.
We need a shake up from top to bottom. Im not too fussed about being out the cup but the tactics and performance was appalling today. Mansfield are bottom of Div 4. Frightening times if this takeover does not go through.
In my opinion Dobson is one of the worst footballers I have ever seen in a Sunderland shirt. And to be fair we have had some stinkers
Our problem has always been the same. We have to bribe players to come to the club because we have nothing else to offer ... ... no vision, no plan, no image. That results in a succession of lazy mercenaries such as we've seen today. They come for the money, go through the motions then drift away. The supporters get behind every manager, no matter how lame, because they care. Sunderland is a little town, on the far NE coast, which has no glamour, no kudos and no pulling power for the wags. The only way forward is with a dynamic madman of a manager like Keane. These 'safe' options, like Ross, Grayson, Parkinson, etc may suit run of the mill clubs but we need a bit of frisk to galvanise the players and supporters. We need a squad of brave young lads who'll bust a gut every match because they're proud to wear the shirt. They may not be any better than the next club but the history, the area and supporters would make the difference. Please ... no more fat ageing thieves stealing a living off our backs. No more half hearted managers trotting out the endless predicable clichés. No more gutless performances like today. I'd rather take my chances with a lunatic like Di Canio than shrug at the end of a match like I did today. As David Bowie once said, ""This ain't Rock'n'Roll ... ... This is suicide."
They can no longer use the huge support as the eternal excuse ... ... they're totally exposed and know it.
Someone like Keane was when he came in would be brilliant for us now. Get stuck into them but also be brave and go out and attack teams. Parkinson seems to be so frightened to play any young uns and also seems frightened to get stuck into teams.
When you watch a performance as BAD as that it is no wonder that our young talented youngsters are tempted away , they are given very few opportunities or are put into teams that appear to be going through the motions and appear to lack any motivation to change . What the hell is going on with Max Power since he lost his driving licence does he think he has to walk everywhere !!! -INCLUDING the pitch !!! and Dobson is even worse ,he was defended because his passing was accurate I COULD pass the ball sideways and backwards the same as him , but can he pass the ball forward No!!! Scowen and Leadbitter are by far the strongest pairing and I would rather have the kids in rather than Power and Dobson they could hardly do worse .
Keane would peddle the majority of that squad and play the kids, he wouldn’t accept run of the mill pros only interested in having Sunderland on their CV. Some of them have hit the pinnacle of their career once they signed a contract here, they think they have made it just because they are playing for a massive club. Today has boiled my piss, I’ve never expected to just turn up and win but I expect them to turn up and try. If that manager had owt about him he would have hauled half that team off at half time. We are owned by chancers, managed by a charlatan and represented by cowards. ALL DONALDS FAULT. Get the lot out ASAP.
Thats exactly my point, he would shake the club from top to bottom and thats what we desperately need. Today when Embleton came on you could see him wanting to get stuck in. That Macfadzean lad looked canny - the rest were ****e. Also what the actual **** does Dan Neil need to do to get a game?
He won’t play Dan Neil, the bloke only knows how to play Wimbledon type tactics, he’s a dinosaur, god forbid we play kids that can pick a pass or beat a man or two. I hate what our club has become and can’t wait for change.
Some are stealing a living out of this club. Today was unacceptable and demonstrates why we need people to come in and shake the club from top to bottom.
