Glad you like it. Seriously though, if you claim only one other person 'gets' your style of banter after years, that state of affairs is hardly likely to be because everybody else you've ever bantered with is not mature enough to understand you. I've only ever encountered one person I couldn't banter with, after all my years online. It isn't you by the way. Back on topic: Any thoughts on the football today?
From someone on Facebook, I hope it is crap. Worrying news coming from Charlton tonight as it has emerged that Bowyer and Maddison exchanged heated words and had to be restrained by coaching staff. Hope this isn’t the beginning of a downward spiral where team morale is concerned. Is Bowyer the man to take us forward?
Well, Maddison certainly cannot be allowed to lose his big-headed rag and ruin the dressing room atmos. What has Lee Bowyer achieved for Charlton? One hell of a lot. Too much to list here What has Marcus Maddison achieved for Charlton? Absolutely nothing Maddison needs to wind his neck in, or he should be sent packing. Arrogant prat. Send him home LB. Don't even let him close to the youth squads. We can get promoted without his antics. We knew he might be trouble. Seems he cannot change his ways. Unless of course the Facebook report is just crap, in which case MM is a great lad etc...
We knew Maddison was a live wire , let’s hope they’re just locking horns for Alpha male status and Bowyer wins
Doesn't suggest a blow out (yet) and Maddison was logically rusty. If Maddison does take it badly, he'll be on his way in January, but this may be just a heat of the moment thing.
yeah, I didn't see the match...How good was Barker., and are we going to give Twiggy a bit more time?
Barker did pretty well so I hear. He's BB's man of the match. I didn't watch the game either, but I'm not very bothered that we lost. It would have been good for somebody to step up and score a goal or two, but it was not to be. I do agree with you Sandman about Tuesday. I think Charlton fans are pretty united in considering the game a waste of time. We know LB feels that way too.
Yes, it now looks like the whole bust-up story was rubbish. Well done to the knob-head who thought it was funny just to make stuff up. What sad lives these losers must lead.
I think all the ITK takeover bollox has conditioned fans to react to any story. I'm pretty sure the really serious stuff is kept in house.
One of the problems with behind-closed-doors matches is that fans only see what the TV streaming services show them. Had there been fans at the ground yesterday that 'tunnel bust-up' fake news would have been dismissed almost instantly. People would have been coming onto forums posting that they had seen no anger between Maddison and Bowyer etc. The truth of such matters is so much harder to be sure about when all fans have to go on is what they see on a tablet screen. As an experience in the round, streaming offers less than 10% in my view of what fans would get from being there at the stadium, right at the heart of the action. It's barely better than reading an article about the game in a newspaper the following day. It's why personally I think streaming services should be free to fans, or just charge a nominal fee (a couple of quid). £10 a pop is too much.
You'll need to keep an eye on Maddison....changing rooms are not always happy with him in them......our experience of him when he was at Peterborough was not good....he got one of our players sent off with his cheating.....and he can be incredibly selfish.....best of luck with him. Too say that you played a second eleven today is not doing your squad players any favours.....only your keeper hadn't played in the first eleven this season. Ryan Lowe hasn't got a second team....they're all first team squad members....so although McCormick, Sawyer, Canavan, Wootton, Grant, Macleod, G Cooper, Reeves, Telford, Nouble... didn't start they could well be in the team if fit next game....they're all treated equal....none treated as a second team player.
