I agree but it’s the manner of the defeat, outplayed by a side a league below us who haven’t won for ages, and the fact that they thoroughly deserved to win it. We had players out there who should be ashamed of their performance today.
While some may scoff at the metrics used to bring last season’s League One to a conclusion, it’s evidently a robust method with which to judge a manager and his side. To illustrate, in the past three League One seasons, the title-winning sides – Coventry, Luton and Wigan – boasted PPG averages of 1.97, 2.04 and 2.13 respectively, therefore meaning it’s safe to say 2 PPG gets you the title. PARKY'S 1.3
i wonder if mcgeady had been playing we might of won, to leave a player out like him will get parky sacked and Mcgeady will be straight back in with a new manager. i bet other teams must be over the moon he is not playing, amazing stubbingness. We never saw Kimp either he should have been playing in the first team, had he been on the bench last week at Gillingham he would not have got injured, i reckon this will cost us and Parky big. Signing Graham back was a disaster, we already had Grigg these managers keep ballsing it up time after time.
We'll see come the end of the season, like I say I couldnt care less. Even the prize money is peanuts for advancing, I'm sure we'll be gutted to have lost out on £16,000. Others will disagree, that's for RTG.
good grief that was dire...diamond and mcfadz best of a bad bunch, once again power and dobson fail badly should never be on a pitch together ever again. back 3 did nowt wrong, keeper had nowt to do bar one comfortable long range shot, no chance for the goal. our feckin 'strikers', right now they are stealing a feckin wage...even i would have scored that danny graham chance from a few inches, how the hell did he hit the bar??? wyke, lovely ball (again) played on the ground for him to run onto and the defender simply kicks it away from him with no effort required, plenty of balls into the box with no one there or attacking them. grigg, forgot he was there...add him to power/dobson. our scraping of wins has been a bonus but this game, if any, has shown our massive flaws...mainly, no fecker to pounce and put the ball in the net and a midfield that lack direction so often...lost track of balls being headed out from our corners being played instantly backwards to our defenders or the keeper, we have men up for the corner, get the hower back into the box!!
The big question is what we do that is best for the club, I think even this dull boring hopeless manager has to risk the younger players with the established back three plus Leadbitter, and get rid of the likes of Power, Maguire, Graham, Grigg and Wyke out of the club at any price.
Still we had chances to draw or win, it didn't help when the young lads were putting in good crosses for Wyke for him to squander and to miss every chance, Grigg went missing, and Graham was just ****e. we will not go anywhere near promotion with this forward line
I'm going to try and flip this around: Parky and the players know the takeover is done and dusted. We are minted and they are bricking it knowing they are out on their ears on Monday. Pochettinos appearance on Monday night football confirms he is back in business and Parkys replacement, he can't wait to get started against Fleetwood and kick Barton it the bollocks. HTL
Hit the bar and post, Parkinson gameplan is far too easy to defend against though I think a well drilled Sunday league team could keep a clean sheet against us, can't say I'm fussed about the cup like but it's just another game of boring football with to centre mids who kill any attacking momentum we have.
I have to agree that at the moment this is the absolutely correct. It’s followed on from last season where we only managed something like 14 away goals, not sure of exact figures but it was a meagre return. A fast powerful striker and midfielder are required .
