Palace are nowhere near good enough to outplay us. Palace are nowhere near the likes of Leicester and Wolves on the counter attack. It's a game I think we should be winning or at least get a point from. The danger that Palace pose are very familiar to us. They have one or two players who, if on form on the day, can win a game from nothing. The likes of Zaha, Townsend, Eze, Batshuayi and Ayew can all cause problems but it's not often they are on it. I'll be like a stuck record this year. It's basically down to us to put our chances away. It's a winnable game. I'll be disappointed with a point.
Correct but only for the sky money the likes of Rodrigo or Koch wouldnt be remotely interested in us. It’s the sad reality of life in the PL and main reason I hated it since we dropped out of it. Still unsure of my feelings about it all. Enjoying Leeds being in it but as yet not as enjoyable as last season
Makes a nice change to have a Saturday kick off Hoping for a 2-0 win or even 2-1 We do need 3 points we have some particularly interesting games coming up and a 3 point cushion could prove very useful We can win this
won 3 drawn one lost 3 so after a promising start which saw the quality signings feck up and give away needless penalties we improved.sadly as soon as we get anyone decent they get injured or have to isolate due to covid.let us hope koch does not get injured for Germany in more pointless games mostly though hope that these are the last of a crop of injuries and we can get some decent play going once more.survival is fine but for me how we play is more important.Against Leicester we were dire and at half time having to be up early i went to bed expecting to lose by four or more and so it proved. fans are saying Palarse are not that good well my answer to that is they are too good to be relegated so will be a tough game for us.i will be more than happy with a draw.
We weren't great against Leicester. Worst performance of the season. However, they are perfectly set up to play teams like us and they finished 5th last season. Our worst nightmare, same as Wolves. However, we probably should have got something out of the Wolves game and as good as Leicester were, we probably should have got a point after we dominated the second half. The last two Leicester goals could happen to any team when they are piling forward for an equaliser. I said at 1-2 that it would either be 2-2 or 1-4. It was really a 50/50 chance at that point. Leicester were just as panicky for 30 mins of the second half as we were the first 30 of the first half. In short, we were terrible, Leicester were on top of their game, yet we still could have easily come away with something. Palace are not in Leicesters class. If we play well and take our chances they will not be taking anything from the game.
Hopefully we can't be as bad as we were on Monday, yes Leicester are a good team but we made them look even better we were that bad play to our potential and we can get a result, COME ON LEEDS
I wonder if Hernandez is out injured or if he's been dropped because of his behaviour with how he acted on Monday. Look what happened to Pontus but the situations are different and Hernandez is probably injured. So is Harrison, Alioski or Dallas playing CM. Hmm
Costa has a very important role to play today, he has to be on hand to force Zaha out left and Ayling waiting to pick him off, Zaha has got to be stopped playing, even put a crunching tackle in within first few minutes, get past 20 minutes then have a go at them. Hernandez been dropped, I’m with Amigo over that he cannot throw tantrum’s and disrespect.
Looking at today's team and bench I'm not feeling confident about getting a positive result. Midfield looks weak and we might struggle against a half decent PL team. Hopefully Bielsa has a plan and the lads prove me wrong
I agree they’re a poor man’s wolves/Leicester. Said last week that I felt Leicester and palace would be harder games for us than arsenal/Everton. It’s just a styles make fights thing. So although I largely agree with your comments I think we’ll still have the same problem. We’re vulnerable at the back, they will get chances... can we take ours when they come? The side we have out today doesn’t look that great on paper. Let’s hope there’s a bielsa masterstroke, we haven’t spotted. Be interesting to see if alioski is played as a 10 today- he hasn’t looked too bad when played centrally as a sub - or whether he goes to left back and Dallas to midfield.
Alioski's inclusion in this team has confused me a little. Not sure where he's going to play, even if we're playing 3 at the back. Fortunately, Bielsa knows where he fits in. I hope!
