Had Covid for a fortnight now and still not right. Its a nightmare for Asthma sufferers like myself and only now do I fully understand how dangerous this Virus can be. Those who scoff at it or don’t give a fcuk really do need to press the pause button and have a re think.
Get well soon pal. It absolutely should be taken seriously, people passing it off as the flu or telling people not to worry haven’t had it. I’m very lucky that my family have avoided it but I know people who have lost family members and they’ve said exactly what you said.
I’ve had it Don’t worry mate it can be bad but mostly it isn’t unless you e got underlying health conditions. Two of my mates have it now One has underlying health conditions but is ok Both feel washed out and have sweated up. One is still working as he has to and can work on his own. Let’s be aware not overreact and psychologically be strong.
I don’t think it’s a case of scoff or don’t give a ****but I think our world is now so sanitised this sort of thing happens in less developed countries all the time and you have to have a certain stoicism to get through it. I work with a bloke who comes from the Congo ( I did ask him if he drinks umm bongo and he denies they have it over there so he may be dubious) and him his wife and children spent 5 years in a refugee camp where Ebola was rife. he was very philosophical about covid and to carry on with our lives as life doesn’t stand still.
This - big time. Also people demanding to be told how to behave and 'not understanding the rules'. It's real simple: keep as distant from people, as often and as much as possible..
I keep as far away as possible from workmates, clean my hands regularly, keep clear of people in shops etc.I have other health conditions and take this virus seriously but you should see some of the lads I work with....You'd honestly think nothing was going on!!! They're literally in each other's faces and stand around shoulder to shoulder at break times?? Most of them are between 20-30 so maybe they think they won't get it,or if they do they'll be o.k. Mrs is just back from Glasgow City Centre and says more of less the same as me....People are ignoring this and it's spreading due to ignorance and carelessness!! Stay safe fellow Tigers...
Not really, people often don't worry about things until they actually catch it, it's human nature to play health issues down to give ourselves a more positive outlook. I have a teammate on my football team who hasn't been to the doctors for ten years, even though he's had all sorts of issues. In his mind, if he doesn't go to the doctor, nobody can tell him there's anything wrong and so he can tell himself he's fine. I'm not sure that's a scientifically verified method of treatment or prevention, but I guess if it works for him...
Yup. One of the drivers at our place is in a bad way apparently and he’s only in his mid 40s. Don’t wanna harp on about it but four of us came down with it within 48 hours of each other on the same work schedule...it’s incredibly infectious.
I know too many people who think it's all a conspiracy or there's an agenda. The Government are up to something, blah blah blah. There is nothing financially beneficial to anyone, including those ****s in Parliament where a pandemic would benefit them. They need a healthy economy. It feeds their lifestyles, their ego's. There's nothing in this for anyone.
I feel a bit like your mate. I've been to my GP roughly three times in forty years and each time it was because of pain I was struggling with. Oh and the dentist as well. Lots of people do that, but from my perspective, we need to take the virus very seriously, because we might be confident in ourselves, but we need to think of our family members and friends, workmates. It is definitely getting worse, make no mistake. Edit: Before anyone says the drug company's will benefit, remember the drug companies don't have a vaccine to sell.
It will be carnage if the lockdown ends early December as all that pent up Xmas shopping lust will suddenly be unleashed in a torrent, common sense flies out the window etc. Try getting your stuff online as much as possible or from the supermarkets after 7pm when they are semi deserted. Might save your life.
The idea of going to say, Tescos, before 9pm right now, seems like a really stupid idea. Why would anyone with a brain want to go to these places at the peak times?
Not a parking space free on Brid sea front at dinner time . Loads of folks wandering about on the sea front. So much for only essential travel. Tailbacks of caravans earlier in the week.
