Wearing the poppy has changed in the last few years. When I was a kid, it was a reminder that war was an obscene waste of human life. Now, it is support for our armed forces. I wear one every year and pay for it with folding money but I don't have a problem with anyone who thinks that armies should not be glorified.
Personally I'll be wearing one. I'm in the luxury position of not having war on my doorstep, so its fairly easy to separate those going to war from the evil bastards sending them. However there is an undercurrent of trying to force it upon people in recent years, and those people can get ****ed. The treatment of James McClean a few years ago by the press, the football community and fans was nothing short of disgrace. It was borne out of pure ignorance. I dare say those shouting about that at the time would have a very different view if they had lived where he lived, and their families had to go what those families did at the hands of our government. Like most things, let personal choice rule. Its a personal thing, and doesn't require judgement from any man or woman. If anybody feels that strongly, donate a little more instead of trying to impose your views on others.
But honestly Pouchy, get off the fence for once and tell us what you really think. I was never a great believer in conspiracy theories but it seems you are. Covid just an imaginery virus thought up by the "Powers in charge"? Or it's not all that bad realllllly?
Nah not a fan of conspiracy theories at all. I'm pretty certain there is a virus too. The problem is what gets lumped in with conspiracy theories. I have no idea how bad it is, neither do you or the government. For that you'd need accurate data. The PCR test is quite clearly just not fit for purpose.Their figures are inaccurate and inflated on that cases front. We also know the death count is inflated as they have admitted to recording deaths with COVID and presenting that as deaths to the public. Until they sort that out the whole discussion is a moot point really. We've been locked down on the basis of modelling from the government - that is a cold hard fact because Mr Johnson told us. That modelling has already been proven to be catastrophically wrong. On the 2nd November for their modelling to be correct, we should have had 2000 deaths. We had 136. On that point alone lockdown is clearly not justified. We were told during the first lockdown it was necessary to get capacity in the NHS. We were then told we had the capacity so could begin easing restrictions. We never got anywhere near our using capacity first time round. Again though the modelling was the driver for the capacity so that's hardly surprising. The strange thing is the modelling is still done by the same guys who proved themselves inept first time round? Why are they inflating cases and deaths? Why are they using a test they know full well isn't fit for purpose? I have absolutely no idea but they've created a nice little niche for the conspiracy boys to run wild that's for sure.
I didn't think this year could get any crazier, but it has. I agree with Pouchy 100% on something!! Well said! I suppose this is as close as this forum will ever get to lesbian porn. Two ****s in close harmony while Trev stares at his screen mumbling some excuse about spilled coffee and that he thought he had clicked on a different channel and didn't really mean to be watching this.
Be honest that’s just one of your fantasies. Last time it was Chippy and Jak arguing about whose round it was and now it’s just getting more perverse.
I apologise. Let me try again with less of the disturbing details... I didn't think this period of time could get any less normal, but it may have done. I don't disagree with one of the posters on here to an extent on something!! Not badly said! I suppose this is as close as this forum will ever get to lesbian porn. Two ****s in close harmony while Trev stares at his screen mumbling some excuse about spilled coffee and that he thought he had clicked on a different channel and didn't really mean to be watching this.
