Hmm, I think Benny left Marsille for us cause he wants to play in Premier League not because he wants 'more wages' I mean he was on like 60k, not like we're gonna give him 100k

Comparison to Ben Arfa is fair, but I think he did take a wage cut to come here didnt he?

To be honest I don't see why any player would not want to move from the club he's at to move up to the premiership. Make no mistake he's going to have to if he wants to develop his career.

 

When did 26 become old like? He's a year older than Cabaye and we've just gave Jonas a new contract and he's 28. He would cost 13 million and it would be money well spent.

Not all players, the likes of Tevez would prefer to play in a lower quality league for more money. Also Ben Arfa could have gone to AC Milan or Schalke (as Ozil's replacement).

 

I agree, however Tevez was happy to join West Ham to kick start a world class career and Ben Arfa would perhaps not have ended up signing on permanent contract if he had lit the league up, which I might add think he was already doing.

I'd still have him in a heartbeat, he has a good recent goalscoring record and is a million miles better than Shola/Lover/Ranger. We'll also be losing Ba for the ACON and he and Ben Arfa have potential injury worries.

 

We are finding gems and not too long ago we were signing Perch and getting Lover for free from nobody. For this reason along with the signings we are now bringing in I'll back any signing we eventually make.
