I'm pretty much the same as this. Even though i have won a few and i dont do the setup glitch. Most races i get hit too
I don't do the setup glitch. i tried it once, and found it made no difference whatsoever to overall performance, it just ruined the handling.
I'm like an untalented Kimi Raikkonen. I can pull a blindingly fast lap out of nowhere, but i can't string them together. And i'm crap looking after my tyres too.
Thats where me as Jenson Button comes in. But i can handle a "badly setup car" a bit better than him I have pretty much everything up there, but nothing at the top. Just an all rounder here.
It's annoying when you know the pace is there, but you're too error prone to take advantage of it. I'm a master at gt5, but i seem to suck at F1 2011
Completely opposite for me, i'm great at F1 games, but i suck (In comparison) at gt5. Its like i can only handle fast cars.
Anyone heard about this ? I heard it is gonna be free to play through your browser. Sounds awesome, racer and manager in one!
A couple of problems I have with the game ... - I do not know how to request a pit in. - Some incidents were clearly not my fault, so how can you reduce the rules even further so that there aren't many penalties?
Does anyone have any advice? I'm at Williams for my first season in career mode and I can't get anywhere near the other drivers. I can't get past FP1 in Australia. The fastest lap I've done is nearly 3 seconds slower than Barrichello. I use DRS and KERS as much as I can but and I feel like I can't push hard without losing a wing in a barrier. The only assists I use are auto gears and medium traction control. What am I doing wrong? Is there an ideal setup for this track that I haven't found or am I just not driving round the circuit right?
I can only give general advice, not having this iteration of the game (yet), but: -Check the tyres your on, you've not had some damp weather and still got inters on or something like that? -If you don't feel you can carry the speed without damaging the car, maybe go out of career mode and try some practice laps of the circuit without damage on, to get used to how much speed you can carry? -I'm not expert when it comes to setup, but do you notice other cars clearly able to pull away from you on straights? If so, maybe you're running too much downforce overall, someone else might be able to help you fine tune that a bit. -Is your driving style effective? This is definitely one for Cosicave to answer, but, for example, are you trying to carry too much speed into tighter corners and missing the apexes frequently?
I started off like that and it seemed like the car just didn't want to turn and whenever you do, you spin. Unlike F1 2010, you can't throw the car into the corners.
Who else is playing with fuel effect on? I have just had a race and finished 50secs behind my team mate and I had a solid race, no mistakes, although I did get a puncture but that happened when I was right by the pitlane so did not cost me much. It was a 28 lap race so that is almost two seconds a lap slower which just is not right.
So.. In my first year on career mode, I have finally made it to the F1 Mecca, Korea. I implore you all race this track in the most realistic way possible... by turning off ALL crowd effects.
