Norwich City v Swansea City Competition - Sky Bet Championship Date - 7 November 2020 Kick off - 15.00 Venue - Carrow Road Following their hard fought but well deserved 1–1 away draw at Brentford, next up for Steve Cooper’s Swansea squad is a trip to Carrow Road to play promotion rivals Norwich City. On Tuesday evening, Andre Ayew maintained Swansea's unbeaten away record as they came from behind to gain a point at Brentford. Championship leading scorer Ivan Toney netted from close range for his 10th goal of the season to give Brentford a first-half lead. The introduction of substitutes Matt Grimes and Kasey Palmer gave Swansea fresh impetus and Ayew struck from six yards with 14 minutes remaining - Grimes had already flashed a shot across the face of the Brentford goal before his cross found Ayew, whose fifth goal of the season levelled the score to earn a point for Steve Cooper's side in an entertaining game. In fact, the Swans nearly won all three points as Ayew had the ball in the net in stoppage time but his header was ruled out for offside. Swansea are unbeaten in five games having lost just once all season and conceding only six goals in their first 10 league games and remain second in the table. On the same evening, Norwich City missed out on moving into the Championship's top two as Millwall held the Canaries to a goalless draw at Carrow Road. Canaries forward Przemyslaw Placheta came close to the opener moments before half-time, seeing an effort cannon off the post after good work from Teemu Pukki. And Millwall goalkeeper Bartosz Bialkowski denied Emiliano Buendia in the 73rd minute, before the midfielder's rebound was blocked on the line. Daniel Farke's side pushed for a late goal but it was Millwall substitute Shaun Williams who nearly netted the winner, clipping the crossbar in the 95th minute. The result saw Norwich rise to third in the table, while Millwall stay in seventh. The Swans have played the Canaries on 56 occasions, with the teams neck-and-neck in terms of historical results, beating each other 23 times and drawing on 10 occasions. One of the most memorable matches between the teams took place at The Liberty in April 2011: Turning to Saturday, I have a feeling that the Swans will return to South Wales with a point following a 1–1 draw.
Our bogey side and player (Holt) at the time , can't say I wasn't much fussed about Lambert either . Win to us 0-2
Another excellent write up staff. Well in the prediction league this was the worry game that I had us down to lose. Given how we recovered on Tuesday and with our new found backbone, I’m going for a 1-2 Swans win.
Thanks Taff again If we are as confident as we seem and I don’t doubt it I will go for at least a draw. If we have our shooting boots on who knows...by the way did you know that Corey Smith used to play for Norwich!
Thanks again Taff. At the start of the week I felt more confident about this game than the Brentford game. So its 1-1 for me as well
Did they do the knee before the kick off in the Cardiff v Bristol game tonight ? .If so. I missed it, ...... just wondered, did any of you Guys notice ? Just wish they stop this bloody knee crap.
There are more teams not doing it according to news reports. I would think the players would be slated for doing it with crowds in stadia,
Sky sports are likely to do away with the football pay by view due to lack of interest by football fans.after this weekend If true, then a bloody good job ................... The bloody Greedy Bastards.. What a dissapointment Cardiff lose to Bristol City by a single goal What a let down, I was hoping that they would have lost by at 4 goals, ........ still better than nothing.
