Half time. At least we shouldn't be sitting back now for the 2nd half.

Lucky escape. Posh hit a shot out the box, Jaakkola tips it on to the post and it bounces across the line and past the other post and out for a corner.

We are beginning to look tired and not creating as much. Seems to be a big gap between our midfield and attack so lack of service to Daly and Hanlan. Saying that though, Westbrooke and Grant been our best players in my opinion.

We nearly scored. Pin ball in the Posh box and the Posh defender thumps it clear but it smashes against his partner at the back and lobs the keeper but just goes over the bar. Very close.

Their 2nd goal was a cracker. We've been done by 2 great goals. But to me a clear foul on Westbrooke in the build up. We ain't getting much joy from these officials.

1-0 we have a chance. But 2-0 its game over for sure. Score line is harsh on us but I would say Posh has edged this so far.

Koiki on for Tutonda who seems to be struggling with a knock.

JML on for Nicholson whose gone quiet as the game has gone on.

Oztumer on for Daly who just hasn't hadn't had a sniff all night.

Hanlan turned and shot but saved by the keeper. Good patient build up to create that chance.

We've stepped up again trying to get back into the game.

Finished 0-2. Posh shaded it and scored 2 great goals that was too good for Jaakkola. 1st goal could have been avoided as an error by Kilgour and the 2nd I feel was a foul on Westbrooke but the ref didn't give it and we then sat back and allowed Posh the time to run forward and scored a cracker. Lack of chances created. Played well but just not enough support in attack and no good service to our front men.

One thing we won’t be doing is challenging for the playoffs. Not good enough and still unconvinced with Garner.

Ben Garner reckons we outplayed Peterborough in last nights match. less than 50% possession about 2 shots on target I think he was watching a different match than I was. Hanlan battled well upfront with no support Daly looked Tired, our corners 6 ? of them invariably found one of their defenders and I don't think we would have scored if Peterborough had left early. Their goals were very well taken, one as a result of a missed challenge by Kilgour who I thought otherwise had a fine match and the other as a result of the referee not believing Peterborough committed fouls which he appeared to miss through most of the match. Some of their players went down vey easily, I presume they have a very high centre of gravity and their left back couldn't have walked any slower to take their throwing's if he tried and that awful kit should consigned to ladies football

We had 53% possession. But it is what we do with it is what counts of course. When we actually kept the ball, we played good football and we held our own I thought against the league leaders. But we seemed to get lost when we get near the final 3rd and then struggle to create much. We did open Peterborough up a couple of times but not enough, hence just 2 on target. A lot of our possession though seemed to be passing back and forth between our defence and midfield in our own half. So I am not sold that we outplayed them just because we had more possession than them. However I though we did well, big improvement on recent games. We had 10 corners in total due to many blocks from their defence putting their bodies on the line and our corners, as you say old timer, meet the Peterborough players every single time. If we can't create enough in open play, we need to take advantage of set pieces and clearly, we are not. The ref was not good. End of the day, we were undone by 2 great goals. Could have been avoided but we never looked like scoring and on the night, the best side won.

I do agree CJS that the best team won, but I am concerned that our midfield appears so defensive, there did not appear to be many forward passes from our team even though we were 2 goals down. The one good forward pass in the opening minutes produced a good opening which we were unable to take and there after it was back and forwards between the defence though it looked more solid without Baldwin in it

The simple fact is that we do not create enough chances. It’s all well and good having possession but we’re doing very little with it. Garner needs to address this urgently. I’d rather we were a little more open and actually got men forward instead of this boring sideways and back tippy-tappy that we’re playing at the moment.

Two shots on target at home just isn’t going to win games.

I agree with BG that without the error from Kilgour, they wouldn't have scored their 1st goal. If we closed down their player for the 2nd goal instead of dropping and dropping and dropping off, they wouldn't have scored their 2nd. Ifs, buts and maybes of course. But we would still not have won the game because in order to win, we need to score and clearly we were never going score last night. Our set pieces were woeful and no creativity throughout the game apart from 2 passes for our 2 shots.

A team who struggles to create need to be on point with their set pieces. Westbrooke takes them. Was it bad from him or was it bad on others not getting on the end of them? I thought Westbrooke and Grant were our better players.

I honestly think solving our creativity problem would be 4 at the back instead of 5. Put that extra player in the massive gap between the midfield and attack. 442 with attacking full backs and when they get forward, Grant should hold back to support the 2 CB's. 2 CM's who are box to box midfielders like Westbrooke and McCormick - who did no wrong for us so far. Oztumer behind the front 2.

I hope he gets to play for Finland to justify losing him.

Header from Baldwin gives us the lead on 33 minutes

Hanlan makes it 2 - 0 to Rovers with a R Foot shot out side the box
