I recon MON or Moyes would be a good shout, id have either!

Im slightly worried it could be McLaren though eeeek!

    What we recon then?

Anyone got any idea as to who it might be if Bruce gets the chop (which i think he will now)?

Not Moyes can't see him leaving Everton for you guys, he'll go to a big 6 club if he were to leave Everton.

Its never gonna be Moyes in a million years..and after this technical departure of Mr Quinns I suspect 'all things Irish' is coming to an abrupt end at Sunderland...which may discount MON

I was thinking either O'Neil or Moyes..

However I still think best not speculate, because remember last time we did......

we ended up with BRUCE and most were disappointed.

Jesus another ****ing Bruce out thread already

Sorry to dissappoint you all but i reckon short will give him a bit longer.

    And no I don't think

    Ancellotti
    Moyes
    MoN

neither of these will be our next manager unless Short gives out millions which i am sure he won't and Hughes is no better than Bruce

If Mcalaren came my season ticket goes in the bin

If ES does give Bruce his P-45 i would be happy with Moyes, MON or Hughes.

I recon he would jump at the chance, big fan base, excellent facilities, a good squad that with the right manager could do very well, a billionare owner who has shown he will spend, great stadium...............

He gets nowt at Everton, their owners are tight as ****!

    I think your wrong mate!

Surely Short will have realised he will have to spend big to secure the signature of a top class manager, its the obvious progression!

I don't think that Martin O'Neill would give a rat's ass whether there's an Irish link or not. He didn't take the job under Drummaville but I really don't think he is interested in the SAFC job no matter how obsessed some of our fans are with him. He doesn't give a **** about Sunderland. He might have followed us when Johnny Crossan was playing for us but so ****ing what? It doesn't amount to anything.

I just have a feeling that we will be completely surprised by who we end up with. Mr Short will have made a lot of contacts during his time with SAFC and he will be using those to secure the best man he can get. He'll have learned a great deal from NQ's involvement with the club. Bruce is a goner and all I can say is; Thank God for that. Way overdue. Should have gone 6 months ago.

Dont think it will be any of the above cos they will stand by the ever laughable Mrs Doubtfire. Not sure why Moyes would come but perhaps Mark Hughes would be a good shout. But, is he not the same sort of type as Bruce?? Ex Man U , British, young, international player, and just as importantly never really achieved much.
Think its time to stop the same old rot about MoN, just leave him out of the equation would be for the best. Just a thought.

This manager can get any job in the country, can't see him leaving for Sunderland after 9 years at Everton. Wenger and Fergie won't last forever and they would certainly look at Moyes and Moyes would know that. More chance of getting Ancelotti as I think he wants to manage in England again and will see Sunderland as a good opportunity, especially after you beat them 3-0.

Hughes for me would be better than SB and a realistic target- Ancelloti would be great but his interview didn`t he say something about clubs like Spurs and Liverpool - to my mind the only similarity at the minute is we play with 11 men on the pitch as do they!

MON won`t come IMO; Peter Reid might do a stop gap job if we can`t line anyone up (along the Sbragia type role) Moyes is destined for better things I think

Biggest fear - Sam Allardyce and/or McLaren and/or anyone with no knowledge of the EPL

Not McLaren . . . anybody but McLaren. Even if it has to be Lee Clark , not bloody McLaren.

    Think I've made my point.
