If a player is sent off, he is unable to play in the next game that goes ahead in his absence, therefore he is punished by being unable to play in his side's game.

If a game doesn't go ahead, then that game is postponed, meaning, to be played later, no one is punished or was punished, this was "safety first" approach that has engulfed Western society.

If Celtic were punished, the game would have been awarded to CFC's opponents.
