The golf thing is a bit weird, as there's plenty of courses where you don't have to go near a single soul even on entry and exit.

My local one in Burstwick you can pretty much walk straight onto the first hole from your car, you only need to go inside to get a scorecard.

I'm impressed with you lot wearing a face mask basically everywhere. I've had it on for 40 minutes at the airport and I already hate it :(

Most don't wear them everywhere - from experience, most just put them on when they go into a shop or inside an enclosed space.

There's plenty of people on the street not wearing them.

I've got a bit of a problem. There's two chaps at work who've been tested positive.

Now if I tell the girls in our house, they will insist I don't go to work and if I don't go to work... Well we've already had two rounds of redundancies and I'd be afraid of been spot balled.

    I should explain better.

The girls in our house are very paranoid about the virus and if I tell them we have two lads who've tested positive positive, they won't let out the ****ing house :headbang:

This is the place to come for advice, yes?

Don't mention it unless you absolutely have to, and then just say that as far as you know, there's nothing negative about the situation at work.

If there’s two people at work who have tested positive then they won’t be at work will they
So if anything going will definitely keep you away from at least two people with it...guaranteed!

Seriously though is your workplace Covid secure?

    1) Have the 2 infected lads been quarantined and are not allowed back to work until at least 2 weeks from now and not until they are tested again?
    2) Have all your other workmates been tested ? They should be. So should you.
    3) If all answers are yes, and you are not asymptomatic based on test results,I'd think you should be ok to keep stum. Don't leave it too long. Any change in any of those answers, then you tell 'em.

    Not exactly correct
    1) they won’t get tested again if they don’t have symptoms, they can come back when they feel well after isolating
    2) Only people in close contact need testing (as defined by NHS) not all workmates

    Seems a weak system then.
    1) If they don't have symptoms, they may well be asymptomatic and still be able to spread the virus.
    2) Who is to know which of your close contacts at work are in contact, however briefly, with other workers in the firm that are not immediate close contacts and who may be carrying the plague? Being in the same lineup in the canteen, smoke room, corridors etc etc.
May be applicable to workers who work outside all day perhaps with 2m spacing rules followed, but indoors ? This **** is nothing to be be lax around. Age of oneself and colleagues need to be taken into the equation too.

I was just letting you know the rules, not commenting on them.
Contact tracers assess contacts. I think that’s reasonable actually. Not as simple as saying all work colleagues should, the closeness and length of time are both considered when deciding.
H&S law means you should have put measures in as an employer to mean people shouldn’t be close for a long time in canteens etc.
