i suggest he puts some speed into the team and picks a quicker starting lineup, then has plenty of shooting practice and picks the forward who can hit the onion bag all the time not just the gift ones, Wyke has been crap but improved a little the last 3 games but his missed chances are getting really bad now or can you not see the obvious.

I understand your point but Madison is an attacking midfielder not a striker - we've apparently got 4 of those. I think he would've added something to the team but there must have been a reason why it took so long for him to get a club. Whether it was money or attitude we'll probably never know

So what forward do you suggest he puts in for the next game?

still a good player they may be saving him, he scored against us and was the only one in their team that looked like he could and he is not up to match fitness yet

agree mate but the reason i used him as a reference is even though he is a midfielder he has still scored more goals than wyke last season

anyone who doesn't fluff the easy chances but we won't find out cos he always picks him

Or get him training all week him being marked with crosses coming in until he doesnt fluff the easy ones.

Im buzzing after that, I was really nervous before Leadbitter took the penalty but he was as cool as ice.
I've broken a couple of cans out for a midweek special celebration.

To me, no crowds being in is working in our favour, referees would imo go out of their way to not be influenced by our large support and as a result we suffer. I'm not saying tonight's decisions weren't correct but since the start of the season we have had more go for us than against. Let's hope it doesn't even out as it will inevitably will.

But that was last season. I'm not saying that Wyke is gonna score ****loads and he missed some decent chances but hey he's scored tonight and somehow by luck or by crook we've won. We all have our opinions but let's just enjoy this 3 points and leave the what ifs for another day

He's not fit yet, but when he is he will be a force for Charlton , and just looking at the table they are going to take some stopping. Bowyer is a one very shrewd operator, wish we had him tbh.

Both graham and grigg have had chances, neither have scored a league goal yet.

So would you start either of those players or someone else?

I've always said I cant complain (too much) if the players put the effort in. We are in League 1 and they are League 1 players. We've only lost to a pretty strong Portsmouth team. Beat Peterborough and Ipswich who are the teams around us. Top 6 with a game in hand. Glass half full.

Good result against a team that will be challenging at the top, but I dare bet some will still not be happy.

    Portsmouth battered Lincoln tonight ...

... Lincoln were the team to fear a month back.

Whatever you think of Wyke he is scoring goals, what we need is someone to score a similar amount of goals as he is and we would win more games than we do. The similarities to the first Ross season is worrying, we are drawing too many games compared to the teams above us. At the moment we are above 2 points a game but if we can find an extra goal here and there we can better that.

I'm not sure Graham is the answer, he looked slow and heavy when he came on. Is Kimpioka the answer? I don't know but somebody has to weigh in with a few goals and I think if they do we will go up.
