The example you give are day only beds, nothing to do with the treatment of covid-19 patients. It does support Vinces comments about operations being cancelled though

    Dead right.

One after another, people who should show a good example believe they're above the rules.

Here's the latest apologising for what they laughingly call 'an error' <doh>

England's match against the Barbarians at Twickenham on Sunday has been called off after 12 Barbarians players were stood down for breaking Covid rules.

"I promise that I will learn from this mistake and ensure something like this never happens again."

    That's idiocy no doubt.

What scares me are the protests that it isn't real.

That either means people are so distrustful of the world they won't believe in something even when it kills hundreds of thousands.

Or worse yet. They're right and all of this is just one big lie to ruin the world for some inexplicable reason.

What a baffling time to be alive.

If young adults were dropping like flies, but the elderly were immune and ignoring restrictions, the protests would be relentless.

People are becoming ever more self entitled imo.

Accrington's game is off mind, had 8 players and 2 members of staff test positive. Agree that some sort of clarity is needed in case the season is finished early again.

It appears not if the EFL are insisting.

Teams should be made to play on if its under a certain amount of players ...

... which should've also been made clear beforehand.

Good spot, local press were wrong.

"Local media in Wiltshire have this afternoon reported that the match is off following positive tests within the Swindon squad."

  14. No,we're ****ed for this season at least I think mate. Can't see any prospect at the minute of us getting back to matches for some considerable time.

The poor bastards are running up and down a patch of grass filled with spitting and heavy breathing and bodily contact five days a ****ing week.

On some level it's probably difficult for them to grasp the difference to having a civilised gathering at a responsible distance.

I'm in no way defending them. Just pointing out the idiocy of the contradiction within rules.

You're right, there is no difference.

It's impossible to make the rules make total sense, it's just about making Johnson look decisive.

The reality is that we'll end up on December 2nd in exactly the same mess as we are now.

I'm afraid a one month lockdown isn't sufficient. It's half arsed.

    Stop movement. Stop the virus.

We'll come out of our bunkers, in December, without a vaccine and without a cure. The only thing we're sure to have is the virus.

The government sat and watched the virus exploding on the continent, across Spain, Italy, Germany, etc, yet allowed people unrestricted travel.

If we'd closed the borders and had an immediate lockdown we could've virtually eradicated the virus and now been living a relatively normal life.

We're an island ffs, we could've dealt with this.

It's an absolute disgrace that we are locking down again.

What about the proven mental health conditions this has shown to have aided?

What about lung cancer diagnoses being down by 75%?

The list is endless. Why can't vulnerable just stay indoors whilst everybody else, like my ****ing kids, can get on with their lives? The older generation have never had to do this and they've lived their lives. Why cant the selfish ****ers just stay indoors and take care like they do every winter because they should want the younger generation to continue with their lives and careers? We've done it once, doing it again is taking the piss and I'm genuinely concerned about the impact this is having on my daughter who is already under the crisis team. The lockdown is negatively affecting kids whilst apparently positively affecting the older generation. Nice.
