Pretty sure that was the first penalty we've got in the league at the new ground.
We've caught up with Newcastle, Man Utd, City and a bunch of other teams.

I have just watched the recording of the game from Sky and I'm amazed at the bias from the commentators Bill Leslie and Efan Ekoku towards Harry Kane for the penalty, they might as well just come out and called him a ****ing cheat , never heard such bias in a game before from commentators

Referees are so bad because the FA and FIFA keep ****ing about with the rules. They have tolerated cheating for so long now it's part of the game. You are more likely to be sent off for a genuine attempt to win the ball but mistime it, than you are for cheating. If Spurs win something with Jose it will be because we have developed our cheating skills. That to me is very sad but in the real world of big money pro football and in the biggest richest league in the world cheating plays a bigger and bigger part in the game. I don't think Pochettino wanted his team to embrace the dark arts and that's probably why they failed at the final hurdle.
VAR just adds to the rubbish that goes on because if you are REALLY skilled you can cheat and make it look like the other player caused it. How sad for football.

If you doubt what I say above look at the Spurs Uefa Final that PNP posted. No diving, no deliberate cheating at all, it's a world away from the cynical money driven stuff they serve up now. I am not saying pro football was perfect back then, far from it you could get kicked off the park. Read Greaves auto biography it's all in there especially when they played in Europe, but it was not the systematic cheating that we see now it was hard tackling and if a player was sent off it was nearly always for dangerous play.

Here it is. The good thing is it's the whole game not highlights and the commentary of the day. If you can spare the time to watch it will give you a good idea of how much the game has changed

VAR cannot be blamed for yesterday: Scott was a few feet away from the challenge and looking right at it but did nothing, and when he was called over to the VAR monitor he doubled down and said he saw nothing so the goal stands

The FA and FIFA cannot be blamed for referees refusing to admit they made a mistake, even when looking at a replay of their mistake three times

Yes they can be blamed for creating the climate that produces refs that can't or won't tell the difference between diving and fouling. In this case Scot made so many poor decisions it's hard to tell how or why he made such a poor decision.

It's not like referees had a clue before, hence Gareth Bale could be rugby tackled yet it wasn't called a foul while Luis Suarez could fall over a good half yard away from the nearest opponent and it was every single time

The VAR team should be a separate entity from the match refs, how can they be sitting in a dressing room with a ref that they have disagreed with the previous week , in a perfect world they should accept the decision but this would not happen and animosity will develop

I try not to go down the road of thinking refs are biased towards one or another club because we are all subject to our own bias in favour of our own club. I have no doubt it happens and I have no doubt crowds can intimidate refs as well as players, there may even be straight forward corruption but football can already be frustrating enough without having al those possibilities lurking at the back of your mind. I am here for entertainment after all and there are plenty of other areas where I can feel angry like Trump or Boris for example. By and large refs make poor decisions at all grounds and right now it might seem like United get more penalties than any one else but if you look at the stats it does vary from year to year and even Spurs have enjoyed a favoured year. Having said all that I do remember Bale rarely getting the rub of the green when it came to fouls against him. Kane and Son take note when you take a dive it may well come back to haunt you.

It wasn't even a dive that blighted Bale, it was Brendan Rodgers calling him a diver

Yes, the same Brendan Rodgers who had Luis Suarez and Steven Gerrard in his team that season

Tonight's ref , simple look at the screen, yes I was wrong or didn't see it which makes you wonder what Scott saw yesterday
